To wonder why I keep finding dead wasps?

Every day there are 4/5 dead wasps in one of our bedrooms. Only ever found 1 live one though. Window is closed and have only found them in 1 other bedroom twice whereas they have been in this bedroom 4/5 a day for a week.

Any idea why I’m only finding dead ones? Or where they are coming from?

That happened to me years ago and turned out I had a wasp nest under the window

Quartz2208 · 05/07/2019 20:50

Yep we had it one year - wasp nest

JessicaPeach · 05/07/2019 20:51

Same happened here. Nest in the loft.

Thesearmsofmine · 05/07/2019 20:51

Yes we had them in our bathroom one year and it was due to a wasp nest in the guttering outside.

Go on then, I'll say it.....Sharon? Is that you?

gamerchick · 05/07/2019 20:56

Yep a nest and personally I'd get a dude out to find it. Reading this freaked me out when I first read it. My ultimate nightmare.

Best search for a pest control person then!

DH had a quick look in the loft and couldn’t see anything but it must be up there if they are coming in to a bedroom with the windows closed. The room as a small hole in the ceiling for a cctv cable system so they must be coming through there.

Definitely sounds like a nest, but I wouldn't advise that you go searching on your own! So yes, call out a specialist.
Meanwhile, plug up that hole with foil, and see what happens.

@TheoriginalLEM, doesn't seem to be Sharon, but perhaps she'll come on with some recommendations for red wine stain-removal, for the OP. Grin

Was a nest in the attic
