Ok, my baby is 4 months old and I’m TOTALLY PFB. I’ve name changed because I know this is mad..

DH and I became addicted to the ‘unexplained’ podcasts - some are really spooky and I love all that stuff.

Aibu to feel weird listening to them with her in the room? We listen to them in bed and drift off to sleep listening to them. There’s a few new episodes we’ve missed as I’d forgotten about them.

My rational mind tells me she can’t understand the content but still it feels weird 😂 aibu - please tell me I am 😂😂😂

When DD was that age I listened to all of Serial and watched loads of Sex and the City. So far she's not shown a particular interest in either murder or cosmopolitans, so I think you'll be ok.

@highdo to be fair cosmopolitans are garbage though so maybe she’s just waiting until you listen to something about margaritas.

Not the same situation at all OP but DSS is ten and I’ve taken to saving up all the Archers for two weeks to listen to when he’s with us rather than all my murder podcasts and sweaty audiobooks! So out of the Ambridge loop now!

My DM always watched Columbo and Agatha Christie serials when I was a baby and I have yet to either solve or commit a murder! YABU and you know it but at the same time, your post did make me go 'Awww..'
Go ahead and listen!

I listened to all sorts of podcasts on mat leave, from my dad wrote a to alien theorists theorising. Now she's 12m I've started keeping it to Potterless and the like, but she doesn't know. She's fine, a happy healthy, lovely little girl. But yea it did feel weird at first, you will get over it

Enjoy this period where they have no idea what’s going on!

MustardScreams · 05/07/2019 01:12

I watched Dexter constantly when dd was tiny. I haven’t woken up covered in plastic yet. Although she’s only 2.5 so there is still time.

Durgasarrow · 05/07/2019 02:07

Listen away, me pretty!

OkPedro · 05/07/2019 02:09

We played the poem read by Richard Burton, the rhyme of the ancient mariner.
Not a peep on a long car journey 😂

Enjoy your podcasts! Your baby isn't arsed, I assure you. This downtime with your husband is good for both of you.

Mandraki · 05/07/2019 07:43

Me and my daughter watched all of breaking bad when she was a few weeks old. Nearly two now and so sign of becoming the new heisenberg! I dont think baby will remember Grin
