AIBU to feel like breakup deja-vu when seeing an ex in a couple-y photo with his new conquest?

Esp considering I broke up with him over 2 years ago, he was a very charming narc and seems the new one's working out longer than all his other ones.. yet he still messages me (compliments about me etc.) and portrays a "single man" image on social media. It's the new woman who's put the photo up of them together.. yet they seem to have been together for a bit longer than him and I had..

I know I'm being silly and irrational to be honest. I left him, he's a narc and he's been fishing for my attention for the entire 2 years since our break-up.. so I should have a big ego and not be bothered.. but I guess I am?!

How is it break up deja vu? I thought you meant he'd broken up with his new partner in exactly the same way he broke up with you. You need to move on, block him and get on with your life.

I don’t understand your use of deja vu either. You’ve broken up and have no reason to communicate with him. If two years is longer than all his other relationships you weren’t together that long so draw a line and move on.

Then you need to make a proper final break and block him. It’s not healthy to be in touch with someone you’ve diagnosed with a personality disorder who you broke up with two years ago and is in a relationship with someone else.

Sounds like you might not be over him yet.
