What do guys consider the point where weight loss has gone too far? Do you physically notice/ see it yourself or is it others?

@Amibeingdaft81 I didn’t say what i eat - bit worried in case i am encouraging unhealthy ideas here as mentioned upthread but hopefully this will show that i have no interest in unhealthy restrictions. This varies a lot depending on where i am but typical day working at home:

Breakfast: avocado on toast, gallons of milky coffee

Mid morning: banana, kitkat, maybe packet of bacon frazzles (obsessed with frazzles)

Lunch: beans on toast/bagel with cheese. More fruit. Maybe a cereal bar from kids packed lunch box. (Maybe more frazzles!!)

Afternoon: snacks. Another kitkat?! A bagel or couple of crumpets.

Evening: i don’t eat a lot of meat so veggie currry/chilli with rice etc/risotto/pasta bake, that kind of thing. And quite often a glass of wine. Sometimes two! (Rarely more because of wicked hangovers.)

So i think this sounds ok/not too controlling or anything. Essentially when i’m hungry ... i eat!!

There's no way in hell that lady weighs 6 stone.

I'm 5"5 and at the height of my eating disorder weighed 7.5 and I looked horrendous. My periods stopped, hair fell out, got bed sores on my back from just laying in bed sleeping.

I'm 8.7 now and still look skeletal in places.

Op there's more to life than what you weigh. You are a healthy weight. Work out to celebrate what your body is able to do.

I’m 5’8” and this is me today - been consistently between 9.5 and 9 stone for the last year; prior to that I was nearly 12 stone. I feel strong and healthy. Amazing what ditching dairy and a toxic 18 year relationship can do to your body Smile

Lucked your post has struck a cord with me. If I am honest I'm not happy in my own skin, i dont even know what that would mean. I suppose I am striving for perfection

Here are the other stats if anyone else is a geek like me! I reckon I’m size 8-10 at the moment. Mourn my boobs a bit though.

Hi OP. I suffered from bulimia for 18 years. It was horrendous, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

I mention this because I've seen previous threads of yours, worrying desperately about weight. This will not lead you to happiness. There is a terrible emptiness that comes from reaching your target weight and realising that your problems have not all been miraculously solved. This can lead you to set a new, lower weight - which in turn can push you down a dangerous path.

Seeing the threads you've posted over the last few months worries me. Forget your weight for a minute. If you're not happy, it's time to think about what's really causing it, and look for a true solution.

For a good look in the mirror site try this one www.mybodygallery.com/search.html?gender=female&height=165&age=any&weight=41&pantSize=any&shirtSize=any&bodytype= , this search shows 50 real photos of people at 5foot 5, all under 6 stone 10 which is the lowest weight category it allows a search for.
I find it useful when talk of body frame, boob size, athleticism etc are all mentioned as this is just photos of weight vs height. 9 times out of 10 though most people of the same size and weight look mostly the same!

Adsss · 07/07/2019 22:01

Apologies not 6 stone 10 , just over 7 stone

user1471514421 · 07/07/2019 23:22

visca I can definitely recognise the emptiness. How is that filled when I appear to have it all?

I have definitely continued to set a lower weight. I'm not sure how to fix this.

For me, below 9.5st my boobs really start to shrink away noticeably (30 or 32B rather than C) even when on birth control pills. I'm 5ft 7 or so.

I dieted for my wedding and lost about a stone and was about 9st 3 and realised because at my dress fitting the bodice around the bust was just too loose. I didn't have the boobs to fill it.

I don't think i would be "underweight" at say, 9st, but I personally find to maintain such a slim size in my thirties requires me to seriously restrict food intake/exercise in an extreme way, and this leads me to think it's not a healthy weight for me.

@user1471514421

I'm afraid I haven't seen other posts you have made but your response does worry me. It is very easy in my experience for your weight to become the obsession which enables you to avoid thinking about or confronting other difficult things in your life. As I am sure you know, it is not a healthy or sustainable strategy though and can make you really ill. I am not sure about your circumstances or anything really but do you think you could seek out some help and some counselling? You may have seen from my previous posts that I have experienced some issues with eating in my past - and recognise that to some extent these issues persist though in a much reduced form. I didn't seek help for a long time but when I did it really helped me to recognise the thinking patterns involved and be better equipped to challenge them. I hope you can do that too.
