Just for around the pool/beach on holiday. They’re so ugly but I can imagine them to be very comfy.

YANBU I don't mind them tbh

KindergartenKop · 04/07/2019 20:52

I think they are cute up until child size 10 and then they go straight to heinous.

steff13 · 04/07/2019 20:52

Those aren't ugly and Crocs are very comfortable.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 04/07/2019 20:53

My dc love crocs.

BobTheFishermansWife · 04/07/2019 20:54

Yabu because they are crocs
Yanbu because those look quite cute for children shoes!

MammaMia19 · 04/07/2019 20:54

I’ve just seen someones holiday pics and her two girls (under 8) are wearing them, I did think they look nice! They don’t look like crocs

rachbower1989 · 04/07/2019 20:55

I don’t think they look the best but they are cheap and get the job done. If your daughter likes them as she will be wearing them then that’s all that matters!

moreismore · 04/07/2019 20:55

Only because they’re built up, inflexible and she won’t be able to feel the ground... but I’m a barefoot advocate so I accept this is probably not helpful! Pediped Sahara sandals are fab though-but more expensive than crocs. Have a lovely holiday!

EL8888 · 04/07/2019 20:55

Yes. They are vile!

poorbuthappy · 04/07/2019 20:59

My 10 year old twins are still in crocs.
Last year's holiday in south of France they wore nothing else for 2 weeks.
Comfy waterproof and cool

AnotherEmma · 04/07/2019 21:02

YANBU

I hate crocs in general but I think the sandals look ok on young children and they are really practical too. I think they are more comfortable and better for their feet than jelly shoes.

I would love to find some "barefoot" sandals that are waterproof and don't cost a ridiculous amount for something that will be worn for one summer before they're outgrown.

I got some Bobux trainers in the sale and they were worth it, and I looked at Bobux sandals but couldn't justify the price.

babysharkah · 04/07/2019 21:05

They're awful and my twins can't keep them on their feet. I also absolutely hate clarks doodles.

Fantababy · 04/07/2019 21:07

I got these for DD and she loved them. Very comfy for around the pool but not as 'croc-like' as Original crocs.

I think they are brilliant honestly! I think they are ideal for kids splashing about in and when camping. In fact, as adults, my parents own a caravan and literally all the adults wear crocs on the campsite. They don't wear them out and about but they are ideal for walking to and from the toilet blocks. Let's be honest, it rains a lot in Britain, so they are perfect when you need to run in the middle of the night and the ground is wet and muddy!

Florencenotflo · 04/07/2019 21:11

I hate them but Dd has those exact ones for the second summer in a row. She loves them and can be very fussy with shoes. She won't wear 'pretty' sandals or trainers. These are surprisingly sturdy too. Not my first choice but I pick my battles!

ibblebibbledibble · 04/07/2019 21:11

Don’t see the issue with crocs, my kids live in theirs.
I think the ‘vile/hideous’ etc comments are all people jumping on a bandwagon tbh

Rebssss · 04/07/2019 21:12

Thanks everyone, torn as I hate crocs but if they’re comfortable I can put up with them haha

My DD is extremely fussy with clothes and shoes and would live in her supermarket brand crocs if I let her (she’s 5.5yrs old). Where do I get these sandals, as there’s a chance she may wear them.

ChippingInLowCarbing · 04/07/2019 21:20

I wear crocs around the house:garden as I have plantar fasciitis and they’re great for relieving that.

They’re no fashion statement so I don’t wear them anywhere else, mind you, my sketchers are barely any better

I actually don’t like my crocs when they’re wet as they’re slippery and it makes me unsteady

Fir playing in the garden/park sand crocs are great for kids (I prefer the closed in ties though) but for a pool area/beach I prefer ‘water shoes’ like these - they’re available all over the place fir about £5 (thus was just the first image that. came up)

Try the crocs website Wink

transformandriseup · 04/07/2019 21:20

If she is 5 or under go for it.

MonkeyTrap · 04/07/2019 21:20

They are SO comfortable. Perfect for holiday.

ChippingInLowCarbing · 04/07/2019 21:21

Closed in toes, not ties!

ThePinkCushion · 04/07/2019 21:22

YANBU so long as you don't take her on an escalator while she's wearing them.

moreismore · 04/07/2019 21:29

@AnotherEmma have a look at www.happylittlesoles.co.uk. They have waterproof barefoot sandals starting at £20. The pedipeds I mentioned are £40 but they are the one and only pair of shoes my DS currently has. Smile
