Just for around the pool/beach on holiday. They’re so ugly but I can imagine them to be very comfy.

My DS had those in navy last summer and they were great for holidays. Really comfy and easy for him to put on and off himself. I’ve bough him a pair for this summer too.

Beanosaurus · 05/07/2019 11:00

My daughter has the exact same pair, I get her a pair each summer. I usually can't stand crocs but these are brill, easy to put on herself, can be worn for paddling in water and they last really well. I've passed them on to friends once outgrown and they are still going strong with her child

WhenZogateSuperworm · 05/07/2019 11:30

Amazon often have them cheaper. I got mine for around £10.

TokyoSushi · 05/07/2019 11:34

If she's very young I think those ones are quite cute!

AlexaAmbidextra · 05/07/2019 14:17

Actually, they’re quite sweet, unlike the original Crocs which are a fucking abomination and should be vaporised, as should the people who have the temerity to inflict them upon us. 😂

NewSchoolNewName · 05/07/2019 14:23

I think they’re great beach shoes. Very practical beach wear.

NewSchoolNewName · 05/07/2019 14:24

YANBU so long as you don't take her on an escalator while she's wearing them.

What’s the problem with crocs and escalators??

Deelish75 · 05/07/2019 14:45

It’s what they are designed for, she won’t be the only child in crocs

sayanythingelse · 05/07/2019 17:53

Yesss, I'm here to spread the word about Crocs. The sliders are the comfiest shoes ever. Get them Grin

Is there a child in the country who DOESNT own crocs??? I will admit I do wear crocs around the house, got in the habit when I worked in professional kitchens. So comfy.

AuntieStella · 05/07/2019 18:01

They're absolutely fine on or near beaches

And fine anywhere for smaller DC

LloydColeandtheCoconuts · 05/07/2019 18:04

Both my dc, 4 and 1 will be wearing their crocs throughout our holiday. They're comfy and that supersedes style when you're 4 and 1!Grin

Cheeringmeup · 05/07/2019 18:06

My daughter (19) says that that the holes in crocs are "so that your dignity can slowly seep out"!
I think they're ugly.

ValleyoftheHorses · 05/07/2019 18:13

I’ve been desperately trying to get DS some new Crocs. He’s nearly out of his old ones and they seem to have stopped doing standard fit for kids- only have relaxed and roomy- no good for narrow feet.
Crocs are so useful for summer, swimming lessons and popping out in the garden.
YANBU

I've just got these for my 3 year old, we have a splash park near home and I don't fancy her being bare foot on it 😷

neversleepagain · 05/07/2019 18:26

My 6 year old wear them in summer as the equivalent to wellies. Perfect for the park, beach and anything outdoorsy. Much better than ruining their nicer shoes. I buy them a new pair each spring.

magneticmumbles · 05/07/2019 18:30

They are the only acceptable crocs. They're quite nice actually.

yoursworried · 05/07/2019 18:42

My 6 year old has the exact ones in the picture and my DS has them too (he's 4). They are comfortable and bright and I can't see the problem with them Smile

VforVienetta · 05/07/2019 18:46

@TheHandsOfNeilBuchanon Thanks for that, just been on and grabbed two pairs of the Birks for my DSs! I hadn't sorted summer shoes yet.

OP both my boys had that style of Crocs for a few years, in navy. They were fantastic all summer, stayed on in the sea, easy to wash when they got muddy/sticky with dripped ice cream etc. And from a distance just look like any sandal. I really don't think they look like the slip-on type of Croc, which btw their preschool banned as they tended to fly off kids feet so they had lots of trips/falls.

Nyancat · 05/07/2019 19:04

My DC have those exact ones in different colours, they love them, can go in and out of the water /mud in them and they are easy to clear. Far better than the Clarks sandals we've bought in previous years.

Progress2019 · 05/07/2019 19:12

I love crocs, andI don’t care who knows it 😀😀😀

They’re fantastic for children.

maggienolia · 05/07/2019 19:31

I am wearing a pair at the moment.
Go ahead and shoot me - I don't care.

moreismore · 05/07/2019 21:07

AnotherEmma Fair enough! Perhaps it will help someone else.

Stinkycatbreath · 05/07/2019 22:21

Why should anyone care what anyone else wears on their feet they are shoes for goodness sake they are lovely. Why are people jumping on the whole croc hatred and why do you care. Get the most garish colours possible.

Fairylea · 05/07/2019 22:24

Crocs are perfect beach wear! I actually love them. Don’t get all the hate for crocs. Not every sandal / shoe has to be feminine and pretty or sexy or whatever. Ugly cute is a thing too! Grin
