Posting for traffic regarding knocking a wall down between kitchen and dining room

Has anyone done this and has pictures. Fairly smallish rooms and going to knock the wall down in between but can't visualise it at all. Also don't really know how to bring the two spaces together style wise. Had a new kitchen five years ago so not replacing it - white gloss cabinets with sold oak worktops. Also purple splashback which I want to keep. Any suggestions?

Google kitchen dining room knock through and there are loads of images.

We had it done last year and it’s fabulous, the space feels bigger than I thought it would. We put the same kitchen cabinets in the dining area chimney breast alcoves to tie it together, also the same flooring throughout.

You could pick up the purple accent somehow in the dining room, paint a feature wall, get matching placemats etc.
