Suggestion for mumsnet

Could an op's subsequent posts a d updates on a thread they have started be highlighted in some way?
Eg, how mumsnet admin posts are shaded in another colour?
So many threads where op comes on to update and people still keep piling in with identical questions relating to the first post, which have subsequently been answered.
Would save trawling through everything to find out how they respond.
Any chance?

You can do this yourself in your account preferences.

MonstranceClock · 02/07/2019 17:04

They are?

HopelessLayout · 02/07/2019 17:30

Click on the down arrow beside "Talk"
Choose Customise
"Highlight posts by thread author"—choose your colour.
Voila!

CruellaFeinberg · 02/07/2019 17:59

They already are??

EmpressLesbianInChair · 02/07/2019 18:02

It doesn’t help though. Even with highlighted posts, a lot of posters still can’t be arsed to check for updates before posting.

isittheholidaysyet · 02/07/2019 18:04

I can't find that option on my phone.

Any ideas?

4legsandawaggytail · 02/07/2019 19:24

These options are not available on Mobile. Maybe just on a laptop or a PC not everyone has access to. I just tried it on my phone .

Are you logged in as OP post on my mobile are green mine are pink and mnhq are blue

FancyACarrot · 02/07/2019 19:34

Mine does automatically but only if I'm logged in

ShadowLine · 02/07/2019 19:35

I set up my colour preferences on the desktop site, and when I switched back to the mobile site, the colour preferences were retained.

I’m on the mobile site on my phone now, and OPs posts, my posts, and MNHQ posts all show up in different colours.

RoomR0613 · 02/07/2019 19:35

You can do it if you log on via the desktop version (which you can still access on your phone you just have to come out of the app and google mumsnet).

Once you have enabled it it also works on the app.
