Wise people of mumsnet please help me! Not so much an aibu just wondering if anyone has had similar issues and posting for traffic 😳 I had my son 15 months ago and ever since then, I can t have sex in certain positions as part way through it feels like my partner is hitting something?!

Its a really weird sensation, We're fine for a few minutes but then it's like a sharp pain from inside my belly, he said he can feel something aswell? I had a c section and thought things would have cleared up by now, has anyone else had this happen? Is it fixable?

Have you had a rummage around? Does it feel like it used to?!

0nTheEdge · 30/06/2019 22:02

I know it can feel embarrassing, but it really is worth asking a doctor. I had problems after babies and finally worked up the courage. I asked for a female doctor and she was great and got me help.

jimmyhill · 30/06/2019 22:03

Your cervix is lower now and he's doinking it with the end of his knob

Dimebag10M · 30/06/2019 22:06

OMG jimmyhill that's hilarious Grin

Misssophie01 · 30/06/2019 22:14

Haha no before kids it was fine , it's like he's hitting something, currently laying next to a sleeping dh trying not to laugh 🤣 thanks @jimmyhill. I've been googling and wasn't sure if it was a prolapse? Surely I'd have other symptoms though?

@jimmyhill 😂🤣😂🤣

TheInebriati · 30/06/2019 22:23

I didn't have any other symptoms, go see your GP and try not to think of jimmyhill 's post while you are there Grin

SamBeckett · 30/06/2019 22:26

@jimmyhill Grin Grin

Hoovermanoeuver · 30/06/2019 22:28

DH is always doinking my cervix now! 😂 You're unlikely to be alone, whatever it is.

Juells · 30/06/2019 22:28

A prolapse? After I had my two I noticed sex was painful in certain positions, and a prolapse never occurred to me. I had CSs as well. When I had other problems subsequently and had a colonoscopy the doctor mentioned I had a prolapse. I'm a lot older than you, so manage it with exercise, but if your age I'd be asking for a referral for investigation.

Hadenoughofitall441 · 30/06/2019 22:29

I’m the same since I had my dd 7 years ago, I swear down they stitched me up wrong, now I can’t do my favourite position for more than 2 minutes, which is a bugger 😖

Hadenoughofitall441 · 30/06/2019 22:30

I didn’t have c section.... but feel this 🤔

Biancadelrioisback · 30/06/2019 22:35

I was gunna say cervix too

Mucky1 · 30/06/2019 22:39

I have a prolapse and this is what happens with me. 😱

Iwanttoredecorateagain · 30/06/2019 22:39

Following. Im in the same... Ahem... Position....

AquaPris · 30/06/2019 22:45

I've not had kids but I get this in doggy. I have a low cervix/ shallow vagina

Opossooom · 30/06/2019 22:48

@AquaPris omg me too aqua! But I haven’t actually had this confirmed? What does it mean I’m worried now!

Cherrysoup · 30/06/2019 22:52

@jimmyhill has it exactly. My dh sometimes hits mine and I get the pain in the belly. Try a position that doesn't go so deep.

gamerchick · 30/06/2019 22:58

Yeah it's the cervix and can be agonising for many minutes if hit too hard.

Might be worth getting checked for prolapse though.

ReanimatedSGB · 30/06/2019 23:08

Consult a medic. You might have to ask more than one as, unfortunatley, some HCPs still think that this sort of thing is something women should just put up with.

Bluerussian · 30/06/2019 23:10

The inebriati: ....go see your GP and try not to think of jimmyhill 's post while you are there grin

Especially not if you have your legs in stirrups.

jackparlabane · 30/06/2019 23:31

Get a nurse to check but I suspect @jimmyhill is right - I have the same issue but other positions are better now, so not conplaining...

Ilovemypantry · 30/06/2019 23:42

I’ve had this for years, thought it was just normal!

Geekynzmum · 30/06/2019 23:43

I agree with pps, it's definitely your cervix, I have the same thing and get the same pain in my stomach.
It would definitely be worth getting checked for a prolapse.

Misssophie01 · 01/07/2019 08:09

Haha some of these comments are hilarious! I did countless googling but couldn't find much in the way of threads saying it was hitting something, didn't realise so many of you had the same issue! I also feel a heaviness in my lower abdomen but thought it was normal? Maybe not!
