Noisy neighbours

Since 8 this morning we’ve had an electric saw going next door till about 4 pm this afternoon. They been out till then.

Now there in the garden, daughter is round with her 2 kids.
They don’t talk they shout, our doors are on on our living room but it’s 30*
I’ve heard top of there voice Alexa play wheels on the bus. Alexa play grand olde duke of York
They having pizza I gather, because that’s all we can hear pizza pizza

Honestly the more I hear them, it’s winding me up. Why can théy just not talk. It’s the same when she’s on the phone or FaceTime we can hear everything.

I feel like shouting shut the fuck up, I want to listen to my tv.

Newtonpulsiver my gran did the same. Bought three bags of manure 'for the garden' and left them to swelter in the heat!

NewtonPulsifer · 30/06/2019 00:20

Excellent! Highly recommend.

Defenbaker · 30/06/2019 00:21

Noisy neighbours here too. During the summer they have friends over for garden parties most weekends, which start at lunchtime and go on well into the night. They drink heavily and with every drink their voices get louder and the woman cackles hysterically with laughter. I'm grateful that they don't play loud music and that they are good natured drunks, but all the same their voices and moronic drunken conversation are very annoying. Luckily they work full time and I only work part time, so I'm able to enjoy quiet spells in my garden during the week, otherwise I think I'd get the rage with it.

I know people have much worse to put up with, so I just go out or shut all windows and turn the TV up while they are partying.

It seems to be a growing problem, that so many people have no concept of being considerate neighbours.

StillMe1 · 30/06/2019 01:53

I love the idea of living on a lighthouse.

Got noisy neighbours one side and inconsiderate neighbours all around re parking and blocking cars in or out.
A lighthouse would be perfect all year round

FloydWasACat · 30/06/2019 07:31

I'd like to live in a lighthouse

granadagirl · 30/06/2019 10:15

Why don’t they ever realise
The neighbours 😀
Because there selfish fuckers( they make me swear)

The bloody electric saw is out again!!!
It’s just as loud and the patio is closed now.
Are they doing the whole bloody house

Wives the worse, thinks she’s something not
Daughter looks the same, really jet black dyed hair always in a bun
Just as loud
They ended up staying the night, after her saying for about an hour
Come on it’s bed time now!!!
They only live round the corner, she comes in a car .
Everyday she’s here with kids, don’t know why she’s doesn’t move in
She as husband, he must be a pub or worked to death

I have the banging going on again.
Dont they ever just sit?

Thefemalekeithrichards · 30/06/2019 16:12

I have them too - currently having a ‘pool par’y’ I wish they would all drown

StoneofDestiny · 30/06/2019 16:20

Get one of those high pitched devices shop keepers use to deter congregating gangs.

But seriously - crass neighbours that can’t enjoy themselves without disturbing others!

Oldbat66 · 30/06/2019 16:23

Newtonpulsiver you are my hero - what a brilliant idea.

HundredMilesAnHour · 30/06/2019 16:23

I was up at 6.30am this morning getting ready for work. At 7am one of my neighbours starts playing loud music with a thumping bass. I was glad to get in my car and drive to work! I got home at 1pm and as I step out of my car, all I can hear is thumping bass. Argh!! Except this time it's MUCH louder. I can't for the life of me work out which flat it's coming from (I live in a gated development). Eventually the penny drops that the 'music' isn't even coming from my building! It's coming from a building over 100 metres away where some selfish person has decided to install a sound system on their roof terrace and have some friends round. There's less than 10 people there but they have now been disturbing hundreds of their neighbours for hours. It beggars belief, it really does. They seem to think they're at a beach club in Ibiza. When actually this is very over-crowded Tower Hamlets. And of course there's no way of contacting these people to ask them to turn the music down. I assume it will stop eventually but in the meantime, one of my neighbours (who are actually in my building) has now also started playing loud thumping baseline music. It's like some free-for-all. I have music coming from all sides and even with all the windows closed, there is literally nowhere in my flat to get away from the noise.

Is it so wrong to want a little peace and quiet on a Sunday when you get home from work?

Thefemalekeithrichards · 30/06/2019 16:29

@HundredMilesAnHour

Yes basically it is too much to expect people to be considerate these days ....they are utter CNUTS !!! If they are playing that at 7am I guarantee there’s drugs involved after an all nighter.

nitgel · 30/06/2019 16:35

Thus is just awful can the council really do nothing? Who are all these adult children who have to booze constantly throughout the summer how do they afford it

Cosyjimjamsforautumn · 30/06/2019 16:53

My work colleague was plagued by both foxes pooping in her garden and next doors screaming children on their trampoline at weekends from 5.30am until dusk.
After much consideration and wine she got out her gardening gloved snuck through the fence and spread some of the fox poo on the trampoline.
Foxes now seem to be more attracted to pooping all over next doors garden and trampoline, and their kids unfortunately spread fox poo smell all over neighbors new downstairs carpet and kids are now apparently banned from using garden or trampoline.
Win win WineGrin

HundredMilesAnHour · 30/06/2019 17:00

If they are playing that at 7am I guarantee there’s drugs involved after an all nighter.

That was my first thought too.

I live just on the edge of Shoreditch and there's a LOT of drug taking in the area. It's blatant. Need to keep my wits about me driving around the area at 7.30am on a Sun morning as so many people are under the influence (as is obvious by some of the driving).

I am so sick and tired of the constant noise. I know I live in a very urban area but when I moved here 20 years ago, my development was an oasis of calm. The last few years it's just become hell on earth as people just don't have any consideration for others any more. I actually look forward to rainy days as then most people stay inside and don't try to deafen us all with their bloody music. I have definitely become a grumpy old woman but not without provocation!!

HundredMilesAnHour · 30/06/2019 17:02

Ha ha I love the fox poo story! Good effort. (Particularly apt given I was working at The Fox Project this morning - my only respite from the neighbours' racket today).

madcatladyforever · 30/06/2019 17:07

I fucking hate trampolines and also my neighbour the other side who is a lazy slob and has a 3 feet high network of bindweed all over his garden and decking and swarming all over my fence. Bastard.

Nonnymum · 30/06/2019 17:07

I know just what you mean. It's one reason I really dislike the summer. I can't relax at all

Thefemalekeithrichards · 30/06/2019 17:14

Running commentary....sorry haha ! mine have temporarily STFU but that is due to them stuffing their disgusting gobs with Cheap and nasty smart price burgers ....from their stinking barbecue I’m sincerely hoping they all get a serious dose of campylobacter now

RedSheep73 · 30/06/2019 17:15

I could have posted something like this yesterday when next door were having their 9 hour barbecue. Put the telly up loud, or put some loud music on, try to drown them out. I live in hope that my neighbours will realise that if they can hear us, we can hear them, but so far no joy.

Thefemalekeithrichards · 30/06/2019 17:20

@HundredMilesAnHour

I really do feel for you sorry ....getting up at 6.30 am to work on a Sunday you deserve some peace, i am with you in the rain too sad that we have to wish bad weather as the only respite from these utter low lives around us...my chavtastic cnuts were up making noise in the garden until sunrise Saturday....who can do that without a bit of help ? Blatant really
I have fantasies of being in the SAS with stun grenades and an automatic rifle that can fire off 300 rounds per minute - it’s the only thing that keeps me going

Thefemalekeithrichards · 30/06/2019 17:22

@Cosyjimjamsforautumn

love that it’s brilliant but I’d much rather have a million foxes than chav cnuts for neighbours

KatherineJaneway · 30/06/2019 17:25

Think the weather brings out the asshole in some people. Witnessed a number of altercations today.

Thefemalekeithrichards · 30/06/2019 17:30

@KatherineJaneway

Let me guess? Fat, ugly, bald head, red sweaty jowly nasty face like a bun, small evil little eyes covered in tats with a single figure IQ and wearing ill fitting creased up musty cupboard smelling ‘cargo’ shorts dragged out of a dustbin bag from last summer fuelled up on cheap supermarket lager ? and driving like a total twat ?

Yes, seen them too round here

Justthetwothankyou · 30/06/2019 17:31

I thought I'd experienced every neighbor from hell until I got one particular one... she'd play music EVERY SINGLE DAY from 5.30pm til 8 in the morning, so loud that other streets thought our cul de sac was having a rave, every single neighbour had a go at her, her response was to just laugh like a lunatic.
Then our prayers were answered...her poor DP who'd work nights (that's why it was quiet in the day) finally left her because he got to experience what an absolute lunatic she really was when he had time off work due to an accident (plus she'd been dealing and taking cocaine) she was only in her early 20s but looked 50 from all the alcohol and drugs.
When she left I had ringing in my ears for weeks! I feel sorry for her new neighbours...but now we have a lovely neighbour.
I feel for you! An I considerate neighbour is the worst, you can't feel at home in your home.
