The getting to the loo situation would put me off as well as the crowds for most festivals. I don't know how older people manage if they are stuck in the middle of a big crowd ,it's bad enough at a normal venue.
Obviously lots do and don't worry about these things. I am in awe really.

StoorieHoose · 30/06/2019 20:25

She got a huge crowd! DD loves Billie Eilish and so do I now thanks to having to hear her album everytime I go in the car

The80sweregreat · 30/06/2019 20:31

My two like Billie.
Elton John mentioned her in one of his interviews for Rocketman. He is a fan and mentor , so she's in good hands. Not sure if Elton has ever done Glastonbury ?
Billie reminds me of Lorde.
Ds2 has got me listening to Mac Demarco as well who was there on Friday. Odd little man but strangely appealing.
I also liked Lewis Capaldi as he looks so normal and sounds like rag n bone man who I also like.

Raahh · 30/06/2019 20:31

I have spent a small fortune on vinyl versions of Billie stuff, her e.p, her singles and then her album. Now, I love this, because I used to work in record shop . I love that my kids are embracing vinyl.

But bloody hell- it's expensive now Grin.

PinkieTuscadero · 30/06/2019 20:33

I can't be doing with bloody Damon Albarn.

PolkadotLollipop · 30/06/2019 20:33

Damon Albarn looking ropey these days. Too much gold jewellery

The80sweregreat · 30/06/2019 20:34

Hi Raahh, vinyl is mega expensive isn't it?
Ds2 bought Lorde on vinyl for the art work and it was nearly twenty quid!

Jellykat · 30/06/2019 20:34

Well done Billie!
Hoping The Good, the,Bad and the Queen are good... have the first album, but not heard any new stuff.

Raahh · 30/06/2019 20:35

I do like Lewis 80s , he is so down to earth, and not in a put on way- when he does interviews saying he thinks he's touring based on being a one hit wonder, I genuinely think he means it Grin

he was funny when they showed him at Glastonbury the other day- he said he thought he looked ok, and then caught sight of himself, looking a bit sweaty.

Whilst sitting near Mark Ronson, looking super cool. Grin.

PinkieTuscadero · 30/06/2019 20:36

I liked Bille, hadn't really listened to her prior to this. She's kind of Bjorky. So composed for someone so young!

Jellykat · 30/06/2019 20:36

DS1 raided my vinyl collection a few years back, some of its worth money, but i made him promise he wont sell Smile

PinkieTuscadero · 30/06/2019 20:36

Lewis Capaldi is funny. I'm not fussed about his music though.

The80sweregreat · 30/06/2019 20:37

I have a soft spot for Damon as his an Essex boy and Blur did have some good numbers.
Not keen on the Gorillas though.

Damon is just a bit wacky at times.

Raahh · 30/06/2019 20:37

80s the vinyl thing is eye watering. Grin

They are still playing all the 80s stuff I got out of the loft though. Tears for Fears and Depeche Mode are big favourites Grin.

mydogisthebest · 30/06/2019 20:38

I had never even heard of Liam Hemsworth but have just googled him and yes he is better looking than Chris.

The80sweregreat · 30/06/2019 20:39

Mark Ronson is the sort that never sweats.
A kind of robotic type of bloke whose voice stays on the same level and doesn't show much emotion. I like his music but he leaves me cold.

MaudBaileysGreenTurban · 30/06/2019 20:40

I used to love Blur but I find a little bit of Damon Albarn goes a very long way these days.

IcedPurple · 30/06/2019 20:40

@mydogisthebest Thank you!

The80sweregreat · 30/06/2019 20:41

The vinyl looks so big though doesn't it?
It's a thing of wonder compared to a 'download' or cd.
Depeche mode would be good at Glastonbury.

MyGastIsFlabbered · 30/06/2019 20:43

I'm currently waiting to see the B52s in London. Does this count as tragic or is it only festivals? And yes it would s a stealth boast

PolkadotLollipop · 30/06/2019 20:43

I’m the same, Maud. I’ve turned over.

Fibbke · 30/06/2019 20:44

I would love to see the b52s. Arent most of them dead? And Kate Pierson is 70 or something ?

Jellykat · 30/06/2019 20:44

God yes, The80s 'The Cat' could take Glasto on easily.. AND he's getting sexier with age!

PinkieTuscadero · 30/06/2019 20:45

I've switched his tuneless warbling off.

The80sweregreat · 30/06/2019 20:47

No, seeing your favourite bands isn't tragic at any age. I think people have to be dedicated as it's not cheap anymore and getting back from venues can be as long as the set is , so I've heard. Puts me off , but then I'm a lightweight these days and cba to the effort involved!
