No, I think Glastonbury is quite dated, I don't think it's a really young person thing anymore. The audience has got older. Id expect to see most people in their 30's 40's and 50's.
Clubs yes, sad. Glastonbury no.

Does this work? It made me laugh.

The80sweregreat · 29/06/2019 22:48

No , not tragic at all!
I think they should do an smaller ' old Glastonbury' spin off ! It would rake in the money.

CitizensNotSubjects · 29/06/2019 22:48

The Killers are so impressive.
Can't believe Brandon is only 38. He was so young when they got big. Also he looks like he must be older because of the Botox.
But what a showman.

CherryPlum · 29/06/2019 22:49

Glastonbury does seem to have morphed into a posh middle-aged event though.

ShinyMe · 29/06/2019 22:49

@Jamhandprints what the hell is sad about someone in - god forbid! - their THIRTIES being in a club?

Eaudear · 29/06/2019 22:49

Whoa, i just had a very weird flashback to a tv ad many years ago where John Hannah (?) says "you know more Crowded House songs than you think you do" - and realised this very much applies to the Killers. I couldn't name more than 2 or 3 songs, if that. But apparently I can sing along with all of them.

Totally!!!

WalnutCabinet · 29/06/2019 22:50

I am wrong he didn't live in salt lake as a child. Just Utah generally.

WalnutCabinet · 29/06/2019 22:51

I don't think it is just Botox, Looking at old pictures his face shape has changed.

Quintella · 29/06/2019 22:52

I think he's just very thin

The80sweregreat · 29/06/2019 22:52

They give it welly. They were there two years ago in an indoor tent and were fab then too.

Sparklesocks · 29/06/2019 22:52

Brandon Flowers is also the only guy ever to look totally hot whilst sporting a moustache.

BunnyJumps · 29/06/2019 22:54

Are you meant to stop living after a certain age OP?

The80sweregreat · 29/06/2019 22:54

The op has gone. Wound us up and hopped it.

WalnutCabinet · 29/06/2019 22:56

he was always thin. If anything his face is fatter

MyGastIsFlabbered · 29/06/2019 22:57

Ah feck off. I’be been in every decade of my life , it’s an amazing experience and different everytime. I’ll be going till i’m 70.

ShinyMe · 29/06/2019 23:07

I think the thing that strikes me with the Killers, is that I saw them live in (I've just checked) November 2017 and the set was almost identical to tonight. Yes it was enjoyable, and yes I sang along and yes it was a good show - but would you go again and again? Are they even still releasing new music? I assume not, because everything tonight has been older hits.

Baritriwsahys · 29/06/2019 23:11

I think when bands are playing festivals people expect the old hits, the big hits. They don't want new stuff that they don't know, that's for their own solo gigs.

StoorieHoose · 29/06/2019 23:11

The fecking Pet Shop Boys!!

ShinyMe · 29/06/2019 23:14

THE PET SHOP BOYS OMG.

(yes, I get that totally @Baritriwsahys, but I saw them two years ago in a concert venue and it was all the same stuff. With the exception of the PSB obviously, so what do I know?)

RageAgainstTheVendingMachine · 29/06/2019 23:14

I like the pet shop boys but when did Neil Tennant turn into Uncle Fester?

Quintella · 29/06/2019 23:15

Pet Shop Boys are so underrated. Leagues ahead of The Killers.
