Performance running dad

Not AIBU but can't find chat in my excitement of seeing a fully fledged performance running dad in all his glory Grin

In the seating area waiting for DD whilst she's doing gymnastics & he's got a mahoosive running pushchair right in people's way, all sweaty as he's clearly been for a run.

The best bit? He's doing all his post run stretches all over the floor. Even done a bit of yoga I think Grin lots of opening & closing the gate.

He was lying on the floor stretching when a class of pre-schoolers came out & almost tripped over him!

Confused I think your insecurities are showing love

Love a bit of performance parenting!

We had a dad who used to strum his guitar (not a euphemism!) during swimming club.

YouTheCat · 28/06/2019 17:18

Not the time or place for yoga and stretches.

I don't why that means anyone is being insecure. It's wanky and attention seeking.

jarofheart · 28/06/2019 17:18

Why don't you ask him to move the pushchair?

What's a performance running dad?

I had Performance parenting full on at the pool today.... huge splash in then just making a massive fuss about it all.... he was louder than all the other parents & kids combined!

Wonderful he is taking his kid swimming but it might be useful if he focused on helping them swim rather than displaying his muscles
🤣

At our school we have Tennis Dad. I've never seen him in anything other than full-on tennis gear. But, strangely, tennis gear from the 80s. Short, short, white shorts. Shiny little white jacket. Socks pulled right up. Dunlop Green Flash and a sweatband on his dyed-blonde-at-the-ends, layered cut.

He is literally the coolest thing in the playground.
