Dummy sizes

So my DS (19m) is currently obsessed with his dummy. My first DS didn't have one so it's fairly new to me... I've ordered new ones today as I replace them when needed and I've accidentally gone for latex rather than our usual silicone. No issue but it led me to google the differences and through doing so I found out that there's tons of choice...

We're currently using 12+ months dummies but now I realise they do 16+ and 18+ (months not years...) and I'm wondering if I'm BU to stick with what we have? How much difference can there be?!

18 months old and we are still using 0-6 months dummies...
I would stick to what you have.

We also never progressed from the 0-6 months up to the age of 3 when we finally got rid of them

Oh good Grin I'll stick to what we have then! Thank you! Thought I was missing something major, guess not Grin

I think the only concern is if they are small enough to choke on.

I always assumed it was to do with mouth-teeth formation. If they are using a really small dummy they would surely have to sort of purse their lips more to suck it, so more risk of misalignment etc?
