To cut these trousers into shorts? Pic included

These are my DD5s old trousers, but DS3 has been wearing them to nursery. I'm rubbish at sewing, so I'm not even going to attempt doing that. I've thought of cutting them into shorts so he can use them for a few more months or throw them away. What do you think? I feel embarrassed to even ask this Blush anyone done this before?

All the bloody time!! Same with trousers with knee holes. Quick chop, two folds and off you go.

Why are you embarrassed? Thats a great idea and I'd do it. If you cant sew, you can get the iron on hem stuff.

Yes- I've done trousers and leggings

Even if they only wear them in the garden, it saves something better from getting ruined!
