I can use Evernote on my phone (Android) or ipad or desktop browser.

I have no idea how to do this. When I search for it on Google and open it in a browser I think I have saved it but then I just get... nothing... when I open my own login or in the app.
People seem to extol the virtues of Evernote but I don't see the point if I can't save what I've found?
Help an ignoramus out here!
