Sons rash

BigRedLondonBus · 25/06/2019 12:38

My son has a rash that’s all over his body but mainly his face (it’s definitely not chicken pox) I’ve tried to get an appointment at my local go surgery but nothing until the 9th or July, they offer a walk in service in the mornings but it’s always a 2 hour wait and I can’t do that tomorrow. Can a pharmacy actually tell me what it is? I’ve always seen it advised to go to your local pharmacy but every time I’ve gone they’ve always told me
To go to my gp. Any advice

Well I'd go to a walk in to be safe whenever you can. It doesn't matter how long you have to wait as long as he is checked out. He is ur main priority. You can go pharmacy but they might tell u to go elsewhere

A walk in center

Pharmacist can offer advice.

Otherwise if your worried can you not clear time to take him to be checked tomorrow?

Is his face quite red with the rash? Could be slapped cheek

How old is your son? You won't know what the pharmacist will say unless you actually go see them.
You can also eiher ask the GP for a same day appointment or go to a walk in, or phone your health visitor for advice.

No more walk ins around here only the morning one which I can’t do, no health visitor as he is 7. Will try the pharmacy again then but just always told to see my gp when I do. It’s red bumps. Not blistered or anything just raised.

Could you take a picture of it?
