RING DOORBELL

I want to buy a Ring doorbell camera so I can see who is approaching my house. The reason is I don't want my husband (estranged) to be able to connect to it. i.e. I want to be the only user. Is this possible?

He legally has to be allowed access to the house and his belongings even though he is no longer living there.

If I had a ring doorbell I could see when he is there at the house.

You buy the doorbell and mate it with your phone. I don't see how he could really, unless he unscrewed it and tried to pair it with his phone. But you would see him doing this.

bugger. He is really practical and a Fix-it freek. He'd probably take it off the wall and pair it with his phone. He's more techy than me.

Why is he allowed access? If you've separated and you have been granted the house, then why have they granted him access whenever he likes? Surely you're entitled to wuiry enjoyment and privacy.

I’ve got one; the registered owner has it paired/connected to their phone/iPad/pc via the Ring app.
Then, the owner can, if they wish, add other users. ( eg...I added my husband.) But to add a user, the owner has to login to the Ring app to do that.
As the registered owner/user, you can also see in the app, who is also a user, ( therefore can view the videos of movements) ....and you can easily delete anyone who hasn’t got your permission.
Unless you add him, I can’t see how he could see any movements to your home.

Ring doorbells and cameras are not "paired" they are accessed through an app with your wifi and using a private account.

Unless he has your ring password and wifi password he can't access it.

I think they also now do a spyhole cam so he needn't even know you have one

Hi. Thanks for your advice.

H moved outof the house months ago but left all his stuff there. He has only take about 5 changes of clothes and his work uniform. Everything else is still in the house even passport, bank stuff and personal bits and bobs like photos of his family.
He has done nothign to start formal proceedings and he and I own the house and mortgage equally. He can come and go as he likes unless he threatens me in any way but he has not done anything like that. I know he comes to collect his post from the house when I am at work. He is also ordering car parts and whatever to be delivered to our house even though he does not live there. If I am in I usually answer the door but from now on I am going to ignore the door. I am not his concierge.
