we meet up with another couple, and as we drink, OH and Him from the other couple get super tipsy super quick. Loud, sweary, standing on chairs, making plans for trips around the world, making a record, buying a Winnebago, "lets go clubbing!"
Meanwhile, Her from the other couple and I are relatively calm, watching our respective OH's running amok, ringing random doorbells, or gibbering enthusiastically at the pub DJ. And yet we've all had the same amount to drink, no drugs involved, and we're all in our 50s.
I made the mistake of shushing OH when the swearing was too loud in a family area - and now we haven't spoken for a couple of days.

Both husbands sound like utter bellends. They need to grow up. Ringing peoples doorbells is pathetic, let alone swearing loudly in a public area and then not talking to you as if it's your fault... and at age 50?! Jees.

I thought you were going to say that you were all still in your 20s. That behaviour is embarrassing in someone of that age (I say that as one who will soon turn 57)
