To take a college course just for the social life

I've been thinking back to my college days and how there were actually mates about and times out and parties, I found uni a bit fake and shit but I would love to take a college course again primarily just to make friends (...and maybe a nice fella) and party a bit. I am thirty but look young for my age and I figure college is a mixed bunch anyway.

But I dunno if it's wrong of me to take a space somewhere that someone might genuinely need...that's being said, I feel I do need it xD just for different reasons lol. Also, wondering what course to take that would be a good, mixed crowd. I would probably only want to do a 1 year course or perhaps 2 years part time. Anyone took anything like that they would recommend (fun classmates). Of course would be good if it is useful/interesting too (but mostly fun classmates xD).

I try to do other things like meetup groups ect...but it seems so hard to make long term mates you know. Maybe college would be a better bonding exp.

Strange. I’m always recommending to people who feel isolated that they take a postgraduate degree - because they’ll meet like-minded people and they’ll have things in common to talk about.

But when I read about someone who is considering taking a course purely for the fun classmates it seems ... coldly instrumental. I don’t know why. Confused

You’ll have the most fun on the subject you love most.

I guess because I want the nights outs and the parties and the fun stuff more than just people to talk to during the class time. But I do mean friendships and relationships too xD
