Keep your personal hygiene practices to yourself, Seat 34 Coach A!

She’s really going for it 🤮

AIBU?

Can't get excited about it. I did see a girl plucking her moustache on a train though and thought that was a bit random.

Hedgehogblues · 23/06/2019 18:31

Really wouldn't care

Honeybee85 · 23/06/2019 18:32

Gross!

I had someone sitting next to me on the train today, picking his nose and then extensively admiring the ‘harvest’. Shock

Some people are simply disgusting in their behaviour.

squeekywheel · 23/06/2019 18:33

Oh it is grim! The filings go everywhere!

I once saw Eddie Izzard doing it, put me right off him.

carla1983 · 23/06/2019 18:37

Agreed it is grim. I once saw someone cut their nails in public.

YoThePussy · 23/06/2019 18:41

Rather that than someone picking the skin off their bare feet which they then put on the seat.

Also those without handkerchiefs who smear their phlegm onto bus seats after coughing their guts up.

Funfunfun123 · 23/06/2019 18:42

I dont like it either! Leaving nail dust behind Shock

wheelywheelynice · 23/06/2019 18:46

I saw a bloke clipping his fingernails on a London bus, deliberately let them drop on the floor one by one, gross.

Bisset · 23/06/2019 18:47

Nope. Can’t bring myself to give a fuck about this. Anymore I could someone brushing their hair in public.

Bisset · 23/06/2019 18:47

^anymore than

BlueJava · 23/06/2019 18:48

A few.weeks ago i saw a woman filing the hard skin off her husband's feet in the middle of Heathrow airport. Grim.

NCforthis2019 · 23/06/2019 18:49

I have real Problems - couldn’t get worked up about this. Maybe the person didn’t have time. Maybe this maybe that.

Owlish · 23/06/2019 18:49
Hmm
Sooooozie · 23/06/2019 18:54

Vile.

I've seen a man trim his beard on the tube. Some people are weird.

21daysofsummer · 23/06/2019 18:55

Loving the voting Grin 35 of you are utter mingers 😂

OP posts:
SeasideSoul · 23/06/2019 18:55

I really wouldn't give a shit if I saw this.

roundtable · 23/06/2019 18:58

Grin I did this on the train yesterday as I didn't have time beforehand.

I did it hidden with my back turned to the aisle and as quick as possibly as in the back of my mind I wondered if there would be someone on Mumsnet judging me. Grin

I could have been late. But then that would have been a different AIBU about late people.

icecreamsundae32 · 23/06/2019 19:00

@BlueJava now that is gross!!!
Filing nails wouldn't bother me tho it's just dust.

LaurieMarlow · 23/06/2019 19:00

It’s just dust. I don’t see why it’s a big deal.

BustedDreams · 23/06/2019 19:12

Finger nails = fine/YABU

Toe nails = notfine/YANBU

This thread reminds me about the time I was invited round to a previous boyfriends house for some food. Informal. Food served on a lap tray on sofa in front of the telly box in the lounge.

Cue his mother starts filing her leathery trotters and clipping gnarled thick toe nails. I could hear them pinging around the room and one bounced off my tray 🤢🤮🤢

Cryalot2 · 23/06/2019 19:12

Call me minging if you like, but if my nail breaks then I use an emery board , because I do not want it to snag on clothes ,or my psoriasis. I put a tissue on my knee in public and use hand sanitizer.
That said you probably wouldn't sit beside the Iikes of me as bits of my psoriasis fall off, which it does , and it is worse than nail filings .

Dieu · 23/06/2019 19:22

It's repulsive behaviour, and so uncouth. YANBU.

Betty777 · 23/06/2019 19:24

I file my nails on the tube sometimes. In emergencies. I actually don't think it's that rude - compared to everything else I see people doing......

And I'm always looking for people who need me to offer them my seat and/or need help with bags/prams. So I've decided my nail filing is ok, on balance Grin

SilverySurfer · 23/06/2019 19:26

Haven't voted. Is filing nails worse than picking nose or eating smelly food or drinking coffee (hate smell) or listening to loud music (although wearing earphones) or talking loudly on mobile or clearing out handbag and stuffing rubbish down side of chair?

MrsItsNoworNotatAll1 · 23/06/2019 19:27

There are much worse things she could be doing.
