I did post in travel but got no replies, so sorry for posting in here. Looking to book somewhere to stay in lincolnshire next Friday to Sunday. Usually use air bnb but the cleaning and service fees seem to be getting higher each time. Are there any sites to book the same sort of accommodation direct with owners? Either a house or caravan.

Might be worth seeing if there are any Facebook groups - that way you can cut out the middleman. All of the big sites such as HomeAway and Owners direct will do everything they can to stop you dealing directly with the owners. Having said that, it is worth searching the bigger sites for what is available then googling the property name to see if they have their own website (savvy owners will have given their property a unique name)

If you want to book direct with the owner, search on Facebook for "Book your holiday Direct with the owner " and join the group.
There are lots of similar groups- you don't pay commission to a third party and deal Direct.

Thank you, I'll have a look. I wouldn't mind but I end up paying an extra 30-50 in cleaning fees and service charge and I always leave the places spotless so feel a bit ripped off!
