I AM NOT THE POO TROLL

I’ve got some kind of stomach bug, but it’s only coming out of one end. I’ve been to the toilet 3-4 times an hour for the past 27 hours and I’m now screaming and crying in pain from the piles and fissures that have sprouted.

I’m torn to shreds, bleeding and my poo feels like lava. DP went out and got me some Anusol earlier but it doesn’t seem to be working. I’ve been sitting on the shower floor for most of the day wasting god knows how much water (we don’t have a bathtub) because that seems to be the only thing that soothes the burning agony temporarily.

Any recommendations at all would be wonderful please. BlushBlushBlush

Thank you all for being so kind 😭

I don’t know why it’s still so violent, I stopped eating yesterday, just drinking water and now all that’s coming out is watery mucus and blood. I just turned my shower into a sitz bath, which felt very nice. I’ve got a hot water bottle on the go now and I’m just lying in the dark wondering if it would be easier to just die Confused😂

Another vote for witch hazel, it does sting like crazy when you apply it but does work quickly to reduce inflammation.

QuestionableMouse · 23/06/2019 01:01

If you're capping bloody mucus surely it's time to seek medical advice? I know you're a nurse but you might not be judging this right. It could be something other than a stomach bug.

I like Savlon for anything sore because it doesn't sting!

Desmondo2016 · 23/06/2019 01:07

Another vote for medical advice with the bloody mucous

1forAll74 · 23/06/2019 01:41

I wish people would stop using all these wipes for all and sundry, and hope they don't get flushed down the toilet.. nobody had 'wipes' years ago, and we did have bum and poo problems though.

SeaToSki · 23/06/2019 02:33

Call the doctor with bloody mucuus. That isnt commonal garden diahorrea

AntiHop · 23/06/2019 03:07

You can definitely get pain relief cream and stronger hemorrhoid cream prescribed.

dottycat123 · 23/06/2019 03:18

I know you are a nurse but perhaps not thinking straight at the moment! I am a nurse and I think you should consider that the blood is not necessarily small fissures or piles but from higher up and a symptom of what is causing the severe shitting. You could have something like campylorbacter or some other bacteria causing an infection. You may need medical help if it doesn't stop soon as you won't be absorbing water through your bowel wall and could even need I/V fluids.

Justaboy · 23/06/2019 09:04

Blood out of the arse other then the english disease piles that is in not good and you must seek medic attantion, get your sore sorry butt to a doc or an A&E dept now please if you were my woman i'd have carted you there a time ago and yes, I know nurses make the very worse paitents!

Will you just do that please!!

CaptainCabinets · 23/06/2019 10:40

Morning all, I survived the night! I definitely think the blood is coming from the piles and fissures rather than from inside as it’s not ‘in’ the mucus but around it, and bright red so it’s fresh.

I had a semi solid poo this morning (yay!) but the abdo pains are still there. I’ll go to the GP tomorrow if I’m no better, but the fever and sweat coming off me today suggests the bug is leaving the building.

Thank you for all your advice and well wishes last night, let’s hope this doesn’t last TWELVE DAYS like a pp Shock

Ask for xyloproct cream.prescription only.
It was recommended by someone else on here.
This worked like magic for my piles and anal fissures.

CaptainCabinets · 25/06/2019 00:35

@Moveit123 I’ve just googled and that sounds like heaven right now Blush does it sting when you apply it or is it pretty much instant relief?

OP posts:
CaptainCabinets · 25/06/2019 00:36

And does it shrink the piles and skin tags left by the fissures so my bum won’t look like an exploded pomegranate forevermore?

Boopeedoop · 25/06/2019 00:45

So sorry you are still suffering. I always recommend kaolin and morphine for stomach bugs. Old fashioned but works!

CaptainCabinets · 25/06/2019 01:01

I’m not sure it’s a bug at all anymore due to the absence of any nausea/vomiting and the fact that it’s gone on and on for several days now. I had a similar episode a few years ago and had some investigations done which didn’t really come to any sort of conclusion. Ulcerative colitis was mentioned but not explored, yet looking back I’ve had symptoms that fit for years. We shall see, I suppose!

Moveit123 · 25/06/2019 01:44

@CaptainCabinets
It was heaven for me. It didn't sting me at all and I was feeling loads better after 3 applications. You keep it in the fridge so it's lovely and cold too.
Piles have gone now and the fissure healed pretty quick with it. Not sure about skin tags. It's worth a try.

CaptainCabinets · 25/06/2019 01:46

Oh, marvellous! I shall ask my GP for that and refuse to leave the room until I have it prescribed, hopefully she takes pity on me. I only hope she doesn’t ask to have a look. Grin

NauseousMum · 25/06/2019 06:32

Go to your gp and get some anaesthetic suppositories so you can poo with less pain while they heal.

Nonameslob · 25/06/2019 07:14

I had this for 9 days (5 d&v) last winter and I was crying with the pain. My GP said immodium was fine to take and within a day I was spending less time on the loo. She recommended vaseline as a barrier when I went to the loo and it really worked. I really sympathise with you as it's dreadful.

Justaboy · 25/06/2019 15:14

Lets hoe she does take a look! and don't be worried they do that all the time she needs to get this diagnosed and treated and cleared up!

And do let us know the outcome to add to the medic database;)

aLilNonnyMouse · 25/06/2019 15:21

Send someone to the chemist to get some buscopan and some baby wipes.

The paper causes irritation when you wipe and makes things worse so the baby wipes being softer and causing less friction will help. The buscopan stops your bowels contracting, making the poop take longer to move through you. This lets your body extract more water from it before it reaches the end and stops it being so runny. It also stops the painful cramps.

ThatCurlyGirl · 25/06/2019 15:25

You poor poor thing OP this sounds so awful ☹️ really hope you feel better soon Thanks
