This totally acceptable for a baby boy?

DS is nearly 6 months. I pick most of his clothes but DP likes to have a say too...

We like lots of different styles, agree on most clothes. But recently bought this from M&S as thought it looked cute for summer holidays, but DP refuses to put him in it. Says it's too frilly.

Surely not.

Thoughts?

I agree with your DH.

Pinkarsedfly · 22/06/2019 15:10

Unusual for a boy, as it has a frill.

Pipandmum · 22/06/2019 15:10

Or DP, sorry.

youcouldbeGLAAD · 22/06/2019 15:11

Goodness me; no. His penis might fall off if you put him in something that doesn't have a truck, dragon or pirate on it.

Bigearringsbigsmile · 22/06/2019 15:11

I agree with your dh too.

TheJoxter · 22/06/2019 15:11

I think it’s fine! And cute

NameChangedNoImagination · 22/06/2019 15:11

I'd put a boy in that.

youcouldbeGLAAD · 22/06/2019 15:11

(I think it's really cute for either sex)

He wont catch the vaginas by wearing a frill.
Put him in it, clothes are clothes

moonlight1705 · 22/06/2019 15:12

I think it's lovely! Why does an extra piece of material offend him so much? My DD wears boys romper suits as I like the colours.

ChristmasJoyrider · 22/06/2019 15:13

Your DH is right.
Frills make baby boy's penises fall off.
It's been proven.

MiddleClassProblem · 22/06/2019 15:13

Just looks a bit Victorian and formal for my taste but would think anything about someone else’s child in it

ThrowThoseCurtainsWide · 22/06/2019 15:13

It's cute!

Krisskrosskiss · 22/06/2019 15:14

What? Its totally fine! I dressed my son in stuff like that... hes a baby, babies are cute! I used to dress my son in tiny sailors outfits and even, golly gosh, the odd floral romper! And its not harmed his masculinity one bit.

SnuggyBuggy · 22/06/2019 15:14

I think it's OK but I'm fairly broad minded

RLOU30 · 22/06/2019 15:14

It's cute I would put my little boy in it no problems. Spanish outfits are frilly for boys and girls I don't see the issue 😊☀️👍🏻

ParadiseLaundry · 22/06/2019 15:14

It's not quite my taste but totally fine for a boy. I'm pg with DS2 and most of the baby grows I've bought him have been from the girls section and have rainbows on them!

ambereeree · 22/06/2019 15:15

I would put my boy in it.

Krisskrosskiss · 22/06/2019 15:15

And yes it does look more vintage boys clothes rather than actual girls clothing... if you like that look go for it.

Mummoomoocow · 22/06/2019 15:15

Maybe he assumes you’ll just put him in that without anything Else?

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 22/06/2019 15:15

It's hardly a frill , more a pleated detail. I think it's charming and would be good for any little one in warmer weather...

SkydivingKittyCat · 22/06/2019 15:15

He wont catch the vaginas

Grin
Gth1234 · 22/06/2019 15:16

does it button up like a girls or a boys.

The poor mite will remember this for the rest of his life!

Sexnotgender · 22/06/2019 15:16

It’s totally fine. Tell your husband to unclench, his son won’t catch the gay because his romper has a frill.
