Posting for traffic really! Meeting some friends that I don't see often and we want to go somewhere nice but not eye-wateringly expensive, ideally somewhere we won't get kicked off the table after 90 minutes! Central-ish would be better I think given where we are all travelling separately.

Has anyone been somewhere fun recently that they would recommend?? Was thinking China Town is always a treat but it would be nice to be somewhere we can relax with a few cocktails before/after. I've been doing some research but I think I've got restaurant paralysis from too many options! Maybe Carnaby St or something like that?

I don't get out much so am most likely over-thinking the whole thing! Grin
Any ideas/recent experiences appreciated!!

Dishoom on Carnaby Street is lovely

I really like any of the Polpos. The food is Venetian cichetti so sharing plates which are really nice for a group. Decent wine for a decent price and some choice of cocktails as well. Was at Polpetto in Soho just the other week and it was fab!

I tried Dishoom once, didn't make it past the 2 hour queue that stretched all the way down the street! It must be really good though!

I'll have a look at Polpo, haven't heard of that.

Thanks!

Whyte & Brown is really good - pretty much all chicken but it’s delicious chicken. Kingly Court in Carnaby Street.

Or there are a few restaurants in the San Carlo chain - great Italian cicchetti (sort of tapas) here

Thanks Brassica, something tapas like would be great I think. Carnaby St has so much choice, I'm sending some menus to the girls to let them chip in on the decision!

Thanks again all!
