My DH has a different 'work voice' for when he's on calls / meetings at home. It's like listening to a different person, and he paces meaningfully while he's speaking. And he calls people "guys".

Recently I referred to my own colleagues as " guys" and I had to gently lead myself away for a stern talk to myself.

YANBU. We have to cascade things a lot at work too. Also RAGging our priorities (ie. highlighting them in red, amber or green) and people flag up a lot of things. It gives me a good laugh in meetings!
