Regarding not being told price of 'treatment'?

I've been to this hairdressers around 6 or 7 times now, basic cut & blow dry is £40 to very expensive to me.

I received a text today saying I hadn't come in for a while (true as I can't afford it atm!) and they would like to offer me a free treatment. I assumed this meant a cut & blow dry as they don't have a 'treatment' section on their booking area.

After messaging the Facebook page to ask they have said that the conditioner they put on during the hair wash is actually £10 extra! And that they take would take away £10 off my £40 cut if I turned down the conditioner.

Never once has there been a mention of this conditioner being extra- they ask me 'would you like conditioner?' and I say yes, in some cases they've just put it on without me asking!

Is this normal? I could potentially be owed back £70 bloody quid for them just adding it on!

There's a treatment conditioner though not just the regular stuff.

I think it is a bit cheeky that it wasn't explained that it was a special conditioner as I would assume a wash includes a shampoo and condition anyway (my salon does). I would question it with them, wouldn't expect a refund though

@DontBiteTheBoobThatFeedsYou That's what I'm confused about as they said that they have a normal conditioner & treatment conditioner, I've never been offered the treatment conditioner so hopefully never been charged😂

Maybe I'm not special enough to be offered the treatment one..Shock
