AIBU to ask your advice? Messaging a guy.

Hi all,

AIBU to ask for your advice? I’m probs overthinking this but just wanted to hear your take on it.

Joined a club recently for a hobby I enjoy, and got chatting to a guy I met at one of the club’s meetings.

We got on pretty well and I realised I quite liked him. We exchanged a couple of messages on the club’s messaging area after (I sent the first one).

I saw him again today and I really enjoyed the chance to catch up and have a chat, but because of the activity planned today, we couldn’t chat all that much, and I was also catching up with other people there or meeting new people.

The club’s next activity isn’t for another couple of weeks - would I be unreasonable to message him over the next couple of weeks to ask if he wanted to meet up outside of the club?

No, keep it light and breezy, and if he says no assure him that's fine and you'll see him at group soon. Bit you really do have to be able to cope seeing him at group if he says no

Thanks Sleeping! I think I’d still be fine seeing him at the club if he said no. What’s the best way to frame the message? (I’m crap at writing breezy, funny messages 🙄)

Bumping just to ask what others think as well :)

I would say something totally casual like ‘hey, nice to see you at the club yesterday. I was wondering if you fancied grabbing a coffee some time this week?’

Hey! I was looking forward to a proper catch up with you at the club yesterday but didn't get a chance. Fancy coffee and a proper catch up this week?

“Hi. Nice to see you yesterday; I enjoyed our chat. Wondered if you’d like to meet for a coffee on x day?”

Let's hope he likes coffee Grin
