Wedding present for bride

Sorry to post here I just need the traffic!

I can't go to a friends wedding (long story). She has been a good friend in the past and although we are a little distant now due to circumstances I'd like to send a little bag of gifts for the either the hen or for the day (I was thinking silly things like chewing gum, bobbles, painkillers, blister plasters and some nice bits like a mini champagne bottle). Is this a good idea? Can anyone think of things to add or that they needed either at their hen or on the big day?

I'm not sure which to do it for tbh as she's pretty organised but just wanted to do something nice :-)

Also not to be a scrooge but I have limited money atm as not working so probably only want to spend £30 or so.

Tia!

Sounds like a lovely idea. What about a pamper box for the night before the hen or the wedding like a face mask, mini bottle of champagne and that sort of thing.

I'd raid Home and Bargain. You can get really lovely branded face masks, turban hair towels, toe separators, etc. Small bottle of prosecco and maybe a blue and white garter (card factory do them boxed for about £3 if I remember?) Would make a lovely little hamper and cost no more than about £20 x

I say branded face mask as you can't really risk blotching up a brides face before her wedding )hen do Shock

When my son got married and my DIL wanted to put together hen goody bags I advised her to try and get some perfume samples from the big stores ( the tiny sample bottles) they proved a handy add.

I couldn’t go to my best friends away hen so got her a goody bag. A fancy beach towel, sleep mask, passport cover and sunglasses.

For a budget, maybe things like the footmasks, eye brightening gel pads etc. Speak to the bridesmaids and see if they have got her bride pyjamas and slippers for the night before the wedding? You can pick them up pretty cheap now in Asda, matalan etc

@Ilikeyourbeard pjs is a really good one thanks! I was actually one of the bridesmaids so am still in the group so I know they haven't got her those :-) xx

Penhaligons have a sale on with posh lip balm for 4 quid (think you can get a voucher for free delivery)
