AIBU to make a thread purely to test the AIBU voting?

As per thread title. I seem to have the ability to enable AIBU voting on this thread. So am I being unreasonable to create this thread purely so you can all have a go at voting?

I wonder if it’ll discourage drip-feeding since people can give a verdict based on just the OP?

I can see it and was able to vote with my iPad

In the app it doesn't appear at all but if I'm on the mobile site I can vote. Unsure how I feel about it really!

Think it also needs a "this is not an AIBU question" option rather than a straight yes / no.

I think it might need some work. The total votes changes but thr percentages stays the same. And if you close it down. You can't get it back.

Ooh. Couldn’t see anything on iPhone, mobile version website but when I changed it to show desktop version it came up.

If you're on mobile switch to Desktop view to vote then switch back to mobile for easier reading

Nah, don’t like it, as per pp it’ll stop discussion because lots won’t bother to comment just vote. Also, if you close the dialogue box down you can’t reopen it. And if you just vote and not comment then the thread doesn’t show in your ‘threads I’m on’ for you to check up on progress.

Only 1 other thread using it and I don't feel strongly enough 1 way or the other to vote :( more voting threads please!

I don’t think it’s a great change tbh I think it’ll just stifle discussion and encourage non thread readers to engage even less before voting. Not what we need IMO

It’s ok saying post makers can turn it off, but unless they’ve seen the site stuff thread they won’t know that.

I’d rather they’d spent the time sorting out the strike through problem. I HATE NOT being able to use that any more.

Well I have the vote button and I actually quite like it! My geeky side likes seeing the percentage of unreasonableness

I think it’s horrible! It’s a knee jerk thing that limits discussion and that’s the interesting part of AIBU, hearing different people’s opinions and take on a situation. If it’s as simple as yes/no, it’s a very boring thread.

Can we switch off the voting option / make it invisible?

Ooh looks like I’m one of the Chosen Ones I’m on my iPad so I’ll see if it’s any different on the computer when I get to work*.

*Obviously before I start or on my break - never in work’s time, because that would be wrong.
