I have known her for 3 years. Both single and looking , I am late 20s , she is early 30s. I had a fling with someone recently that left me feeling a bit low. I was just making convo and mentioned the guys ex was a model. I showed her a pic of him and her. My friend said that of course I couldn't compete with his ex and he would end up cheating on someone like me. She also refers to other women as pretty ( pretty vs us ). I hate this sort of attitude and assumption about people or their looks.
I can be quite insecure, but I didn't think I was that bad. My friend has never had a boyfriend. She also said she sees hot men with 'ugly women '. Find that very rude.
I honestly feel like I have gone right off her and even mutual friends say she can be deluded and has ridiculous standards. Shall I just forget it ? I don't think she means it , I just generally think she doesn't see me as pretty or attractive.
