I was referred to a consultant by my GP in April - got an appointment for 6 weeks later. The appointment was very quick and basically that he wanted blood tests and an ultrasound and he’d see me again. The blood test was done on the day and now I have another consultant appointment for three months time - double the length of the wait for my first appointment. Am I unreasonable to think the waits should decrease once you are with the consultant not increase? (I am genuinely asking if this is odd, not necessarily moaning, I know the pressure on the NHS)
