I've got this odd small mark on my hand and also a little patch of it on my wrist but the lighting isn't getting that so I won't include it.

It isn't a mole or anything.

But it's like a tiny collection of little pin pricks and they're lighter than my skin colour. Ever so slightly raised, and I mean ever so slightly.

Would you get it checked out, and can you see it too?

I freaked out and thought skin cancer but everything on google is telling me skin cancer comes with a mole type issue. These aren't moles.

I mean, do you have health anxiety?

It looks like your tan has rubbed off to me.

You would really take up a gp appointment for this? Really?

Ribenaberriesgowoo82 · 16/06/2019 08:23

Oh I get that! Never occurred to me to worry about it. I have a couple of patches that come and go. Sometimes it's a reaction to soap.

Silvercatowner · 16/06/2019 08:24

It's one of those (very slightly) weird things that the body does sometimes. Please don't go to your GP about this.

cheesenoplease · 16/06/2019 08:26

It looks like your tan has rubbed off to me.

I don't wear fake tan and never said I did Confused

Yes I can see the skin looks a bit less smooth.
No I wouldn't get it checked out.
I probably wouldn't even notice something like this amongst all the other minor skin imperfections that come and go.

Ffsnosexallowed · 16/06/2019 08:53

No I wouldn't get it checked out. It's skin. Normal skin

PotteringAlong · 16/06/2019 08:53

Just like little hives? Surely just one of those things that goes in a couple of days?

NotTheMrMenAgain · 16/06/2019 08:54

I can't even see it! No, you don't go the GP with something like that.

SquirrelShit · 16/06/2019 08:57

I can't see anything at all odd and wouldn't be seeing a doctor. (Disclaimer: am not a medical doctor.)

Bodies do all sorts of odd things, all the time (or maybe it's only my body that does!) I call it RBW - random bodily weirdness.

EskewedBeef · 16/06/2019 08:58

It looks like a very small patch of dry skin. Put some E45 cream on it.

Heymummee · 16/06/2019 08:58

I get this on my leg sometimes. It does get itchy so I always assume it’s just a dry patch.

Thehop · 16/06/2019 08:58

Moisturise

grace7 · 16/06/2019 09:00

I get weird dry patches on my hands loads. Especially in the warmer weather and when I do a lot of washing up. Confused Just moisturise a bit, e45.

Roussette · 16/06/2019 09:00

Can't see anything, really can't.

OP, suggest you don't get old! Your body wil change all the time as you age, especially your skin.

Please don't waste the GP's time

cheesenoplease · 16/06/2019 09:08

It isn't dry at all. When did I say that?

Anyway, I'm happy that all is well since MN are quick to say call 111 or visit A&E without delay Grin

justilou1 · 16/06/2019 09:12

Dry skin or fungus (worst case scenario)

mouldyhousemouldylife · 16/06/2019 09:24

It's called an assumption. Unless you tell us in advance what it isn't, then people can only suggest what it may be...

Beautiful3 · 16/06/2019 09:25

No don't go to the Drs! I'm sure it's okay.

EyeDrops · 16/06/2019 09:26

My hand and knuckles get little bumps like that when it's hot, like heat rash. On my elbows too. It's fine, bit itchy sometimes, but doesn't last long!

Stayawayfromitsmouth · 16/06/2019 09:31

I wouldn't worry about it unless it becomes sore/ inflamed/ much worse. It's a wait and see.
Probably a reaction to detergent or other irritant.
Could be ringworm though. Wink

hazell42 · 16/06/2019 09:32

Is it itchy? I developed a rash on the back of my hand, just in one small area.
Took me months to figure it that it was an allergy. I had developed the habit of resting the back of my hand on the centre of my steering wheel and I was allergic to the rubbery plastic.
Stopped doing it and it went away
Your rash looks similiar to me

springydaff · 16/06/2019 09:46

Of course go to the dr! What are they there for?

Could be anything but get it checked out. Or go to the pharmacist who will tell you to go to the GP

SiliconHeaven · 16/06/2019 10:03

I can’t see your picture very well but what you’re describing sounds exactly like I have on my hands. I’m told they’re very small warts caused by the hpv virus.
They are barely noticeable most of the time. I use loads of moisturiser and I’m thankful they’re not big fuck off warts

EskewedBeef · 16/06/2019 10:46

It isn't dry at all. When did I say that?

FFS Hmm

People are looking at a crappy photo of not very much, and making sensible suggestions of what it might be. Go to the GP if you're sure it's something sinister, you don't need strangers to encourage you to do that.

Roussette · 16/06/2019 11:56

Go to the Dr for something near invisible that no one can see anyway?

Rightio....

As if they aren't busy enough
