I've got this odd small mark on my hand and also a little patch of it on my wrist but the lighting isn't getting that so I won't include it.

It isn't a mole or anything.

But it's like a tiny collection of little pin pricks and they're lighter than my skin colour. Ever so slightly raised, and I mean ever so slightly.

Would you get it checked out, and can you see it too?

I freaked out and thought skin cancer but everything on google is telling me skin cancer comes with a mole type issue. These aren't moles.

I don’t know OP but I’m jealous of your lovely tan!

Jemima232 · 16/06/2019 12:21

Dial 999

springydaff · 16/06/2019 12:22

Should have put this in chat op

JaneJeffer · 16/06/2019 13:40

What's the harm getting it checked out?

cheesenoplease · 16/06/2019 13:56

Just to clarify, I wasn't going to the doctors. I was only going to go if someone gave me a bashing and said I absolutely should Blush

Terrible risk assessment, so I'm more cautious these days. I've left some very serious things like bursted stomach ulcers until last minute

"When did I say that?"

People are only trying to help. Hmm

CoolCarrie · 16/06/2019 15:11

Go to the chemist and get the pharmacist to have a look.

Freddiefox · 16/06/2019 15:13

*Of course go to the dr! What are they there for?

Could be anything but get it checked out. Or go to the pharmacist who will tell you to go to the GP*

This is why the NHS is on its knees! There are so many things to try first

LightsInOtherPeoplesHouses · 16/06/2019 15:16

I'd go see a pharmacist. If it didn't clear up or got worse I might see my GP.

SouthernComforts · 16/06/2019 15:16

Give over. It's no wonder it takes weeks to get a gp appointment with time wasters like this!!

pinklemonade84 · 16/06/2019 15:17

I'd give it a few days, maybe try some e45 cream like someone else suggested

Then I'd try the pharmacy if it doesn't clear up

Some people are being ridiculous in their catty comments to you op

UrsulaPandress · 16/06/2019 15:19

I’d pop to A&E. Do you have someone who could take you as I wouldn’t drive with that.

Ihopeyourcakeisshit · 16/06/2019 15:21

When did I say that
I never said that
Holy shit, people are doing their best to diagnose something essentially invisible Hmm
I can tell you it's not a bursted stomach ulcer though.

PuppyMonkey · 16/06/2019 15:21

Put hydrocortisone on it. It’s the answer to everything and probably what the doctor would tell you to do.Grin

nozbottheblue · 16/06/2019 15:29

No, puppymonkey, GP would say "what mark?"
Skin cancer, OP? Seriously?? Do you have a lot of time on your hands, as well as minuscule blemishes?

Nousernameforme · 16/06/2019 15:42

Maybe its just dead skin perhaps a bit of exfoliation and moisturise. Try that first and if it hasn't gone in a week or so take yourself off to the pharmacist to have a look

CrowleysBentley · 16/06/2019 15:47

I was also going to suggest a little hydrocortisone. That'll fix it.

Dippypippy1980 · 16/06/2019 15:47

I am super cautious about skin changes because of family history - and have been to the do I tor’s a few times to get weird moles checked.

This looks fine, And to be honest I don’t see anything in the photo.

But if you are really worried, and if it still there in a week, could you ask the chemist like previous poster has suggested?

Betty777 · 16/06/2019 16:14

I think skin conditions are more likely to be allergic reactions and/or eczema. I get eczema in the form of tiny red bumps on my hands when I go abroad to a hot climate. And itchy raised patches on my forearms. it's just a part of the body that shows reactions.

you may never find out what its to - allergies come and go, and it might be a very minor one anyway.

It doesn't look like any skin cancer I've ever heard of or seen (and I'm Australian, so we've sat looking at many nasty poster pics in GP waiting rooms!) I wouldn't worry, it will likely go away

PawPawNoodle · 16/06/2019 16:20

I'd just pop to the pharmacy tomorrow morning if I were you, if it's something benign and treatable with a cream then they'll sort you out!

Without wanting to sound like a creep your skin texture and tone is absolutely gorgeous, so I dont blame you for being alarmed by something being different!

cheesenoplease · 16/06/2019 16:27

Pol Thank you HaloThanks

Missingstreetlife · 16/06/2019 16:51

Fungal infection? Yay show it to pharmacist, not any old joe in chemist, put some on it. If still not gone show to gp next time you go

Missingstreetlife · 16/06/2019 16:52

Some canestan

CarrieBlu · 16/06/2019 17:23

I get little bumps like that, turns into dyshidrotic eczema. Hot weather makes it worse.

WrongKindOfFace · 16/06/2019 17:34

I’d probably take an antihistamine and see if that settled it. Or stick on a bit of hydrocortisone cream if you have any. If no better tomorrow pop and ask a pharmacist.
