I've got this odd small mark on my hand and also a little patch of it on my wrist but the lighting isn't getting that so I won't include it.

It isn't a mole or anything.

But it's like a tiny collection of little pin pricks and they're lighter than my skin colour. Ever so slightly raised, and I mean ever so slightly.

Would you get it checked out, and can you see it too?

I freaked out and thought skin cancer but everything on google is telling me skin cancer comes with a mole type issue. These aren't moles.

People are being somewhat harsh here. I freaked out when I noticed a patch of my skin had turned ghost-white seemingly overnight, and I mentioned it at my next doctors appointment (for pregnancy related UTI so don’t worry people, not time wasting Hmm). Transpired I have vitiligo, and whilst it’s not life threatening in the slightest it does require some treatment and extra care to try and avoid it spreading. Good to be informated at least!

OP, I would ask your pharmacist if you’re concerned. Especially if it changes in any way, like becoming itchy. Yes, the likelihood is it’s nothing, but pharmacists usually know their stuff and can put your mind at ease. Moreso than the ‘unless you’re one foot in the grave, you’re absolutely fine’ lot of MN at least.

Op is it the patches of lighter skin?..maybe Its just a bit of skin that has lost some pigment

Maybe you can show it to a pharmacist and ask their opinion ?

I don’t think I’d see a doctor about that. I’d wait it out and see if it spreads or gets inflamed. Just looks like a general skin rash, barely.

I’d pop to A&E. Do you have someone who could take you as I wouldn’t drive with that.
