Broke down nearly 5 hours ago and am still waiting for RAC ffs. With 2 year old, am a member too. Friend just very helpfully told me AA came out to her in less than 15 mins!
I know they're busy but 5 hours! Grrrrrr

Are you at home or on another place of safety

Guavaf1sh · 15/06/2019 23:26

Where did you break down?

Noonooyou · 15/06/2019 23:31

Oh gosh. I really hope you're somewhere safe and warm with a 2 yo in tow!
I thought they always prioritised people with young children.

On the road, but am safe just fed up

I have found all the cheaper breakdown companies (GreenFlag, AutoAid) way better than AA or RAC. I have always been seen to in less than an hour.
Complain like hell, then switch & save£££

Thanks Moanranger x

How much longer did you wait?

HelloThere1234 · 17/06/2019 22:22

We were badly let down by AA in the summer while on holiday. In the countryside but not completely remote. Clear description of where we had broken down so we were not hard to find. Half an hour after calling AA a kind passer by stopped and rang his friend who owned the local AA-approved garage who said he was free but hadn't been notified he was needed and so couldn't come out. We waited 4 hours, supposedly for some travelling mechanic to come and assess the situation but in the end he never turned up and then along came local bloke who had eventually got the call from the AA control room .Crazy. Complementary 1 day car hire was crap too - could only use Europacar and they had nothing available so we ended paying to hire locally instead. RAC = fucking atrocious; local people of Eyemouth = bloody wonderful.

Dh called the AA on xmas eve for a flat tire as the tool.to unlock the locking nut on his wheel was missing(we'd got the car a few months before and never needed it), we're still waiting!
