Does anyone else think this sounds like a weird sexual perversion?

Given it's the Tory party - maybe it is Grin

OP posts:

No, never either.

It's a phrase that means the military personnel have been inadvertently killed by their own side. It's not one I can frivol about

AguerosAngel · 15/06/2019 19:21

No.

Some of my family members have served/are serving in the military, so no, it’s not funny.

RubyYellow · 15/06/2019 21:00

Christ Hmm

crazyasafox · 15/06/2019 21:03
Hmm
ArabellaDoreenFig · 15/06/2019 21:10

How on earth do you think that the phrase ‘blue on blue’ is something to make light of?

Knob.

WhiteDust · 15/06/2019 21:11

What do you mean Tory party OP? What made you start this thread?

SouthWestmom · 15/06/2019 21:11

Op did you maybe get the meaning wrong? Think it meant the Tories backstabbing?

Vivavivienne · 15/06/2019 21:13

Err, it’s the phrase used for a service person being killed by another by accident. Hardly funny.

madamy · 15/06/2019 21:13

I think the OP is referring to Boris Johnson who said the public has had enough of "blue on blue" in response to being challenged about the leadership tv debates.

WhiteDust · 15/06/2019 21:14

Did you mean Blue V Blue? Some papers have described the Tory leader contest as this.

TooManyPaws · 15/06/2019 21:17

No, it means something has gone horribly wrong in a military context with killing your own side by accident.

And if that racist, misogynistic, adulterous twerp Johnson said it, he should be bloody ashamed of himself but he only opens that fatuous gob of his to change the foot in it. Look what he did to Nazarin.

VikingVolva · 16/06/2019 08:47

Yes, of course Boris never uses inappropriate hyperbole to make a metaphoric point Hmm

Blue on blue means is when you cause casualties to your own side.

Equating it to a sexual perversion goes well behind what he did, and yes OP, I think it is just you that sees such deaths and injuries in that light.

NewAccount270219 · 16/06/2019 08:59

Ooh, I feel a bit sorry for OP, who I guess had never heard the phrase before Boris Johnson started using it (which he's been doing loads over the last few days) to mean Tory infighting. I think a lot of the blame for its inappropriate use here should be put on him!

Proseccoinamug · 16/06/2019 09:01

I didn’t know what it meant beyond what Boris Johnson has said either OP, he’s the one being inappropriate.
