To consider changing this window?

I need to replace the bottom right window in this picture, but I can't decide whether to replace it like-for-like, or whether to change the style so that it better matches the other windows, e.g. to change the large pane to three vertical panels, or (as it's not as high as the bay) possibly to ditch the three small panels altogether and just have three vertical panels.

Opinions?

I guess from the outside it would look better if it was more like the top one above, but it depends how you use it - do you ever open the little top ones? If not, as all the windows are slightly different, I don't think it matters a huge amount.

I think the window you are replacing was designed for security with the three opening at the top. You could have a similar replacement window except on the lower panel have glued strips down to give the appearance of three sections and retain the tops opening.as now.

My 3 neighbours have wooden single glazed sliding sash windows, but I had very old upvc insecure double glazed windows I replaced with upvc sliding sash and the glazing bars glued on. They keep the house cool in summer which surprised me.

I think I'd have 2 windows like the middle one upstairs on the main house bit.
