Believing that Boris will push these ridiculous apologists in front of him - rather than answer any tricky questions .?

I am not sure how much more Bexit/Tory leadership nonsense most people can take, however following the interview with the appalling Priti Patel on the Today programme this morning, I feel I have to ask this question.

Why the hell is he pushing these ill-prepared, unreliable 'advance guard' to be interviewed now the leadership campaign has actually started. It smacks of the sort of thing my teenage son would (and fail) to pull... ' It just makes him seem even more dodgy.

Son :'go on mum, phone my boss and tell him I'm Ill and can't get to the phone' ..

Mum : Why can't you call him you have a hangover not broken legs

Son : I can't , he might ask me some hard questions about things I've fucked up. ..

Mum : Get your arse into work.
(Priti Patel &Lyn Truss ..) ..slurp slurp yes of course Boris , as long as you promise me a cabinet post ...

Team Boris has realised that the only thing that will stop Boris getting voted in as PM is Boris.

Therefore they're trying to get him to speak as little as possible, and sending this ghastly parade of loathsome idiots out on parade in his stead.

Am I the only person who is totally depressed by the prospect of Boris becoming PM? He was a disaster as Foreign Secretary and is likely to make a complete hash of the top job. Why does anyone vote for him?

A bloke who has no shame about conspiring to have someone's ribs broken, just what the country needs. Not!

smallereveryday · 14/06/2019 13:33

Hmmm yes I wonder when some interviewer with guts will ask about the 'broken ribs' issue. There cannot be fear of slander or libel , as Mathew Parris has already put this in print in The Times. ;

"a habitual liar, a cheat, a conspirator with a criminal pal to have an offending journalist’s ribs broken, a cruel betrayer of the women he seduces, a politician who connived in a bid for a court order to suppress mention of a daughter he fathered, a do-nothing mayor of London and the worst foreign secretary in living memory”.

Or are our political interviewers really to pathetic these days.

Eddie Mair had a go at him for that, but Boris just piffled and waffled over him as he normally does.
