That's it really, I've had two breakdowns already, pain of examinations, having waters broken... to small stuff like wanting to be at home, feeling grotty not getting a proper shower 😓 just want it to be over with so I can take my baby home!

AIBU to feel like this?

Good luck ffiffi8! Hope you are very close to holding your baby now!

Crunchymum · 15/06/2019 06:45

I hope baby is here and you know the awful induction was totally worth it.

FWIW my only induction was fine (was baby #3 though!!)

I did have my waters broken and the the drip when I stalled at 6cm with DC1. After a 51h labour, 2 hours pushing my baby arrived and I didn't even have so much as a graze. Was completely fecked with exhaustion and every inch of my ached due to the sheer exertion of my mammoth labour but my vagina was fine

  • sorry I digressed Grin

Bloodybridget · 17/06/2019 07:23

Congratulations! Sorry you had such a hard time- hope you can get lots of help once you're home (speaking as someone recovering from abdominal surgery and in awe of anyone who can look after a baby at the same time!) Flowers

transformandriseup · 17/06/2019 07:42

Congratulations on your new baby!!

I know what you have been through as this as me 7 weeks ago. I had terrible swelling and 24 hours of pure agony with minimal pain relief offered.

DD may well be an only child as I have nightmares of going through that again.

AudacityOfHope · 17/06/2019 10:08

All sounds very familiar! Back to back babies are literally pains in the arse Grin

Congratulations! Enjoy your newborn cuddles and remember there's tons of advice on these boards if you need it xx

JellyBaby666 · 17/06/2019 10:12

You're not at all unreasonable, induction is not pleasant. Why did you have to be induced?

Glad everything is progressing well now and you're feeling better.

ffiffi8 · 18/06/2019 07:32

@Bluerussian because she had stopped growing with a failed placenta, the cord was wrapped around her shoulder and leg, also i have epilepsy so they wanted to monitor me closley and baby during birth... that's why I had the epidural as tiredness and stress can bring on seizures.

They estimated her weight at 5lbs, turns out she was 6lbs Grin

Namestheyareachangin · 18/06/2019 15:02

You hero well done!!! My girl was back to back too, fucking agony. So glad she's here, hope your swelling goes down and your wound heals well, don't let them fob you off on pain relief - there is plenty they can give you even if breastfeeding and you've just been sliced in two!

Enjoy your beautiful baby x

BrokenWing · 18/06/2019 19:02

Well done ffiffi. My 2 day induction ended in emcs under GA, but thank god they didn't try suction and forceps and have me a sore vag too!!

As you say doesn't matter now, it was all worth it!!!

AgentCooper · 18/06/2019 19:04

Congratulations OP!! Flowers Honestly, I always tell my friends who go through induction that they’re superheroes. I absolutely despised mine. Worst 3 days and nights of my bloody life. You’re amazing, well done and enjoy your wee one!
