To be fed up with neighbors oversized back yard pool?

With the lovely weather we've been getting lately the neighbors have decided to setup an inflatable pool in their yard right next to the flimsy wooden fence separating our two properties. It's so close that part of the blow up pool is bulging through one part of the fence into my yard. This in itself isn't a problem for me, but the way in which the pool is being used and the amount of racket that is being cause because of it is driving me up the wall.

There's kids in it from dawn till dusk and they're playing quite violently, splashing and yelling etc, and sometimes I hear the fence itself shuddering from all the impacts, there's water gushing over the side into my garden and about 6-7 times a day they come round to my door asking me to return a giant inflatable flamingo, or some other pool toy that's flew over the fence.

I've had a chat with them and asked the parents to calm it down a bit, they seemed to just shrug it off. I'm just stuck here hoping the damned pool bursts from all the playing but it seems indestructible. AIBU to consider stabbing a big hole in it overnight for some peace and quiet? I'm taking suggestions as to what sharp tool to use for such a task Grin

Try to "fix" the fence (bonus points if you tell them first) then a nail in it oops well you did tell them you were trying to fix the fence

Alternatively a well positioned berberis or pyracanthus on your side of the fence should take care of it. I doubt the pool will be there long but with all the extra water from the pool it will grow through the fence in no time.

So is your grass always squelchy wet from their pool splashings? I would hate that.

And who is responsible for fence of they break it?

do you have weird fetish of bursting things?

I know someone who has a fetish for inflating things. It's a thing apparently.

StCharlotte there is a fetish for everything apparently.

coffees posting history is just about bursting inflatables............

Weird to think someone would log on to mumsnet to get their kicks from people talking of bursting stuff Hmm
