Yes! Do it on the sly :) if you rub it vigorously with a towel after it should regain some of the softness.

Get another one! (or two) It is not worth the sheer hell of not having a backup in rotation if/when he loses it.

Put it in a pillowcase to protect it from tears/rips

BiscuitDrama · 13/06/2019 11:52

Maybe give it an extra rinse so it doesn’t smell so strangely (of washing powder).

Smile Thanks 🙏🏻

Open it up a little on a seam. Remove all the stuffing. Wash, rinse, & dry well. Fill with new stuffing & sew shut. Then brush/rub/fluff.

I wash and tumble dry my kids jelly cat bunnies. I put them in a washing net bag. However, my kids quite like it when their toys have a 'bath'.

Puffinhead · 13/06/2019 12:04

I second buying another one and then another. I used to rotate them without the kids knowing.

I wash all my kids cuddly toys frequently. My nearly 8 year old has autism and sucks on his toys, he has 2 that he has constantly, so they are really gross 😂 but I just wash them. I don't think it does it much good, but equally they stink so they have to be washed 😂

My youngest charge washes hers every month we only use the shirt twenty minute programme then tumble dry it.we call it a spa day bath sauna then inversion of therapy on the washing line.

Anarchyshake · 13/06/2019 18:10

Just wash it. And when the fur is matted like this one, try not to think about the things which get stuck under the matts 😋

I washed it and DD’s teddy, DS was fine but DD went crazy because she liked its smell! She’s 9!
