I don’t know if anyone here had any experience? I’ve just completed SLTS Level two course (Teaching Assistant course). I’ve worked really hard on the course and I’ve also done a work placement working as a 1:1 with a child with complex additional needs in mainstream school. I’ve got two dcs, one with asd.
Since qualifying I’ve applied for quite a few ta jobs but I haven’t even got an interview. I’ve got a place a SLTS Level 3 starting in September but given I haven’t even managed to get an interview so far I’m wondering if it’s worth continuing or if I should get a job doing something else. I like the work and I really like working with the children but I’ve got to borrow the money to carry on studying and obviously don’t want to do this is it’s not likely to lead to a job, full time or part time.
Does anyone have any experience?
