Recently started cerelle ; was worried about raised blood pressure and being on microgynon.
On third week of this , but second week in I started getting light bleeding On third week, still getting some - mainly on going to loo but don’t think it’s a uti as no other symptoms
Any progesterone only pills which didn’t cause you to have irregular bleeding? Thanks

Micronor was the only one I tried that didn't make me bleed continuously.

I'm having absolute nightmares with Desogestrel/Cerazette. There's a Cerazette thread somewhere which suggests that while it can work for some, it's not great for quite a few people on here

Thanks Anyone else ?

They can all cause irregular bleeding. It may settle in a few weeks/ couple of months. I had fortnightly periods with 2 mini pills but cerazette stopped my periods.

I think they’re all the same aren’t they? Cerelle and Cezarette are the same thing just different brands. I didn’t have any bleeding on it at all but I think it’s very common for people to have spotting or irregular bleeds on it.

Three weeks is a really short time to settle on any type of pill.

Before writing it off you do need to give it a little longer to settle.

I tried cerelle for 7 months. The spotting just got worse as the weeks went on, a record was constant bleeding/spotting for 6 weeks solid. I couldn't take it and coming off it felt amazing. GP didn't recommend a different brand they advised the coil but I'm going au natural for a while to see how I cope.

Different medication affects different people in different ways.

Myself and step sister were both on Cerelle.
I had fairly regular periods, SS hasn't had a period since about two months after she started taking it.

You definitely need to give it longer than 3 weeks, too.

It can just stop periods for some people after a while. I wonder if starting it straight after a period might help. Not sure. An alternative might be the Mirena.
