To think that when broadcasters and journalists mispronounce Jeremy Hunt's name it's definitely not an accident...and to applaud them for it?

Just that really. Victoria Derbyshire referred to him as Jeremy Cunt today, and there have been numerous incidents of other broadcasters doing the same. As a proud NHS worker (and human being) I applaud this, but I'm fairly sure it's deliberate!

Is it just me who thinks they're all cackling behind the scenes Blush

Yes.

You are wrong to think this is deliberate.

Broadcasters are regulated by OFCOM which has power to and frequently fines broadcasters for breaches - sometimes £m - and pre-watershed offensive language is right up there for breaches.

No TV presenter who wanted to keep working would ever do this deliberately.

Radio is a different matter though.

One of my favourite radio moments of all time was James Naughtie doing this on the Today programme.

You can hear him laughing Grinlove it.
Some of them just seem to really enunciate it, doesn't sound like a mumbled error!
