On Thursday at work I ate a very excessive lunch and have felt nauseas ever since. I wasn’t sick until Friday and was sick again on Saturday. I have had 0 appetite and have managed half a round of toast and some quavers. I just have no interest in food. My back is also really saw and I just feel really tired. I still have that “over full” feeling.
I have done two pregnancy tests that have come back negative. I have the coil fitted and we use condoms as well. I don’t know if that rules out pregnancy?

Mild food poisoning?

Seaandsand83 · 09/06/2019 06:57

Sounds like a tummy bug

UnicornBrexit · 09/06/2019 06:57

Over indulgence &/or food poisoning.

BaggiesBride · 09/06/2019 07:01

Kidney infections can cause nausea and vomiting, and of course the back ache.
If you aren't starting to feel better by lunchtime today maybe ring GP out of hours service. Try also to keep your fluids up. Hope you feel better soon xx

CripsSandwiches · 09/06/2019 07:02

Are you constipated? Sounds like a tummy upset.

BethanyGilbert · 09/06/2019 07:06

I’ve only done one poo and that was very liquidy. So possibly?
We don’t have an OOH or a walk in in my area. Just A and E so hopefully I can get through today (with a 2 year old 😭) and then can see a doctor tomorrow.

Gall bladder issues?

pilates · 09/06/2019 07:12

It sounds like food poisoning. Keep hydrated and eat dried food, like toast, digestive biscuits. I don’t think you need to go to A & E though.

codenameduchess · 09/06/2019 07:20

Tummy bug or food poisoning. Please don't go to a&e with an upset tummy... call 111 for advice if you need to, otherwise keep fluids up and rest.

BethanyGilbert · 09/06/2019 07:24

I’m not going to A&E I was more illustrating that we didn’t have an OOH option so wouldn’t be able to speak to a HCP till Monday.

Could food poisoning last this long?

OP posts:
CrispbuttyNo1 · 09/06/2019 07:32

Food poisoning can take 72 hours to start so this is well within the time frame. It doesn't sound too severe though. A couple of days without solid food won't hurt you. Just make sure you keep hydrated.

KooMoo · 09/06/2019 08:07

You sound constipated love.

More liquids/fats etc.... flush it out.

Mammyloveswine · 09/06/2019 09:02

Misses point of the thread..

What did you eat? I'm intrigued by "excessive" lunch..

AphidEater · 09/06/2019 09:04

Sounds just like food poisoning. Stay hydrated and rest lots. Hope you feel better soon!

Didntwanttochangemyname · 09/06/2019 09:23

If you are worried call NHS24. We only have A&E where we live too, but NHS24 have made me a sameday appt at A&E before when I had a sudden and horrible ear infection.

EleanorReally · 09/06/2019 09:25

what was your lunch?

monkeysox · 09/06/2019 09:50

If pain gets worse and you get a fever call 111. Could be appendix.
Get well soon

cccameron · 09/06/2019 09:59

What did you eat for lunch? Is it a food with high risk of food poisoning? Or did you eat something that you are jumping not accustomed to eating that might have kicked off a sensitive stomach?

cccameron · 09/06/2019 09:59

*just

BethanyGilbert · 09/06/2019 11:24

lunch was a sausage roll, a mini egg and cress roll, three chicken strips and three potato and cheese wedges. And a little tuna thing in puff pastry (the name escapes me) all very beige! I don’t feel very sick now so think I’m on the mend. Just don’t fancy anything and still feel full despite having to eaten anything proper since Thursday

OP posts:
EleanorReally · 09/06/2019 11:27

perhaps it was the egg?
feeling full sounds like some sort of upset tummy.

eat toast i believe and stay hydrated.

LittleGoose000 · 09/06/2019 11:30

That doesn't sound like an excessive lunch to me. More of a snack GrinBlush
Hope you feel better soon.

ThePerturbedPenguin · 09/06/2019 11:37

Do you have any issues around food at all? What is your normal daily intake like?

TroysMammy · 09/06/2019 11:51

Apple sauce is good for an upset stomach.

Icantbelieveitsnotnutter · 09/06/2019 11:52

IBS maybe?
