Cushings Syndrome - anyone know anything about it?

Get your antithyroid antibodies checked first OP. Hashimotos present very similarly.

I have Hashimotos and high cortisol, but I don't have cushings as I don't have a pituitory adenoma (tumor) which most with cushings will have.

Also for suspected cushings you have to have active angry red abdominal stretch marks as they dont tend to fade with the condition.

Erm and fat neck indicates thyroid too OP. So probably autoimmune thyroid disease.

My inhaler is a diskus. All I have to do is inhale.

I have no stretch marks whatsoever.

Can a marked production of cortisol (stress hormone) produce the same results?

What I'm asking is, if you've been under severe stress for years, could your glands be doing what they're supposed to be doing and in so doing, fucking up my hormones? Because I'm permanently in fight or flight mode?

I'm seeing an endocrinologist in a few weeks. I stumbled across a pin on Pinterest and was struck by how much the illustration looked like me and how many of the symptoms I had.

I initially phoned my GP and discussed it with him, he agreed I should come in. I was also lucky that I saw a GP registrar who spent an hour with me and both he and the senior GP concurred it sounded like Cushings and made the referral.

Jonette I'm not a medical professional but I don't think you have purely cushings symptoms.
