Is this jacket "too young" for me? I dont buy new clothes often and I've bought it to wear with Jean's and a tee for trip this month. DP said it's nice and to not take it the wrong way but it's a bit too young and hip for me!!!!!! I'm 37 years old

If you like it and feel comfortable wearing it and are happy with the look it gives you then you are definitely not too old to wear it.

I tried it on and I think it looks nice. I dont usually buy chamo stuff so unsure. DP now taking it back saying it does look nice but thought it wouldn't suit me before I put it on. Even tho I was wearing it when the comment was passed!

Sometimes people need a bit of time to get used to you wearing something if it’s a little bit out of the box of what you usually wear, that’s all.

I ditto Nink. Maybe your oh was just struggling to accommodate the change in your usual style? That can take time.

Nah, no such thing as too young. If it's well styled and you feel good in it then you're fine!

I can imagine my 60-something, amazingly stylish step mum wearing something like this. I am younger than you but absolutely couldn't pull it off - I'd look frumpy and rediculous.

My mum is 65 and was wearing something very similar yesterday (not that I think it would make you look 65 at all!!)

I think it looks hideous and would just about work on someone really young with the right clothes underneath

but that's personal taste, it's not inappropriate so who cares what other people think.

I wouldn’t wear it either but that is completely irrelevant and actually I think it’s really rude to say that when it has nothing whatsoever to do with what OP asked. We already know that she likes it and wants to wear it so why do you feel the need to describe it as hideous?

I like it, would definitely wear it, I'm 52. It would look great with the right outfit, might not be everyone's style but that's what makes us different.

I've got one similar. I'm 42. I get loads of compliments on it, which is surprising as I didn't think it was anything special looking, I just wanted a thin jacket for spring / autumn and I liked it.

Of course its not too young. Im 37 and have a fair few camo shirts and jackets. Keep it! Its really nice.

I had a similar dilemma in Topshop last week with a pink semi-transparent tshirt. I bought it in the end after much deliberation!

I think it's a nice jacket. I'm 35 and I'd wear it. I love camouflage though. My camouflage jeans will be making an appearance again this summer.
