To take ds to party

DS8 was invited to a gaming party (consoles) 6 weeks ago for this Sunday, which I rsvp'ed straight away. DS has just started a new school and it's his first invite so very grateful for it.
On Monday, he broke his wrist of his writing hand, at school. He has no movement as it's in a cast and sling. He'd be happy to try and see if he can have a go or watch if need be. I've seen him at play dates when there's too few tablets and he watches and comments.
So aibu in thinking that he won't bring a downer on the party?

Take him and tell the parents you can pick up early if he seems quiet. Bet he still has fab time!

Bring him. Surely they can't all play the console at the same time so he probably won't be the only one watching.

No of course not. I'm sure his new friends will be delighted he is there

Yes take him. Kids strangely love watching others playing games... some spend hours on YouTube watching videos of professional gamers playing which I find bizarre.
He'll be sure to enjoy himself and continue building bonds with his friends.
