Fairly long-time lurker here, this is my first thread. A bit of a first-world problem, but am determined to find a mascara that doesn't smudge onto the area below the eyes, giving me panda eyes after a few hours wear.. I've tried so many brands and types, including waterproof and smudgeproof brands, but I still end up with panda eyes by lunchtime. I'm a contact lens wearer, not sure if that's relevant, as it smudges when I wear glasses too. I am beginning to think I'm just aomehow unable to wear it. So, lovely people of MN, I'd love it if you'd share your tips etc with me for panda-free eyes all day!

Blinc mascara is the only one I have ever used that doesn't give me panda eyes. It doesnt have the biggest impact though.

Aldi too legit or the Aldi pink and green one! No smudge

MancaroniCheese · 07/06/2019 14:08

You might get more answers over in Style & Beauty as they know EVERYTHING about make up over there.

I use Boots tubing mascara - it dries like glue and then disperses in water. I will find a link

Tarte mascaras are vegan, and I found them smudge proof.

RabbityMcRabbit · 07/06/2019 16:38

@Edward I've never seen makeup in Aldi. Is it sold in all stores?

I use Barry M That's the way I roll and it's good.

greengrower · 07/06/2019 16:42

Lavera is great,

Edwardbear1 · 07/06/2019 17:00

I think it’s in all stores

Pacifica!

MagicMojito · 07/06/2019 17:26

Wunder2 is amazing. Pricey but worth it I think. Leaping bunny certified x

SachaStark · 07/06/2019 17:28

Trish Mcevoy high volume tubular mascara! And despite the lack of smudging, it comes off like a dream. All the little tubes just slide right off.

MagicMojito · 07/06/2019 17:28

I paid about £50 for a holiday eyes bundle offer from their website

Wunder brow, eyeliner, lash stain, eyebrows stain/brush and a few other bits, lasted about 6months

Bambamber · 07/06/2019 17:29

I use GOSH makeup sold in superdrug. I've never personally had a problem with smudging using it

DontCallMeShitley · 07/06/2019 17:29

If it always smudges have you thought about what you are using on the skin under your eyes? Maybe it is greasy or 'enriched' with moisturising ingredients, that would make it smudge.

rideawhiteswan · 07/06/2019 17:45

Tubing mascara is what you need, I use boots no7 and for the first time in my life I come home at the end of the night with NO panda eyes.

RabbityMcRabbit · 07/06/2019 18:53

Wow these are great suggestions everyone, I haven't even heard of some of them! @Don'tCallMeShitley, I do normally wear eye gel or eye cream but even on the few times I haven't done so, I've still had smudging. I also make a conscious effort not to touch or rub my eyes but I still get smudging. It's weird. I look upon other people's perfect smudge-free eyes with envy lol!

M&S autograph for Rosie is pretty good. It's very subtle.

RCMC · 07/06/2019 21:34

I found the only thing stopping my mascara from moving half way down my face is eyeshadow primer on the lids. They usually come in nude or translucent shades so it doesn't show at all. I wear my eyeshadow primer even on days when I don't wear any other makeup as I cannot live without mascara.

BarryMcguigan · 07/06/2019 21:51

Yes tubing mascara!!! I had this exact problem - the most hardcore waterproof would still leave dark smudgy marks. Now I use Estée Lauder one but it's running out so I'm so pleased to find boots do one that's cruelty free :)

RabbityMcRabbit · 07/06/2019 23:14

@RCMC great tip, I'll try that! So many great ideas and tips, thank you so much everyone Smile

I love higher end make up, but for mascara I can't beat Avon! Genuinely love their stuff.

RCMC · 07/06/2019 23:30

@RabbityMcRabbit It really does work, I think it's because it stops the oil from the lids running down and melting the mascara. I use e.l.f. And they are cruelty free too.

RabbityMcRabbit · 07/06/2019 23:40

@RCMC I'll definitely try that, thank you x

RabbityMcRabbit · 07/06/2019 23:44

Also @MancaroniCheese I'm going to try that mascara, I've never actually heard of tubing mascara so am excited to give it a go, thank you x
